PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA: Celebrities are paying tribute to the late actress Suzanne Somers.

Somers, 76, is best known for her role as Chrissy Snow in the sitcom 'Three's Company.'

After living with breast cancer since 2000, she passed away a day before her 77th birthday on October 15 at her Palm Springs, California residence.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Hamel, and son from her first marriage, Bruce Somers Jr, two stepchildren, and six grandchildren.

'Somers passed away peacefully at home'

"Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years," said the actress' publicist, R Couri Hay.

"Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family," said Hay.

"Her family was gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th. Instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life, and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly," Hay concluded.

Celebrities mourn loss of Suzanne Somers

Tributes are pouring in on social media, mourning the death of Somers.

The actress was remembered by several stars including Barry Manilow, Viola Davis, Khloe Kardashian, and many more.

"Sad so sad," commented actress Goldie Hawn on Instagram.

Khloe Kardashian shared an Instagram story with a screenshot of her conversation with a friend showing off a new ThighMaster the late actress sent her.

"This one hurts my heart. I love You. I'll never forget your positive loving outlook on life. Your sweet heart andgentle spirit! Rest, dance, smile in paardise..."

Singer and songwriter Manilow posted on X, remembering Somers. "Suzanne and I were friends for decades. She was the sister I never had and my close confidant forever. We shared triumphs and heartaches," he revealed.

Praising her, he wrote, "Her fame in so many fields overshadowed her real talent as one of our greatest comedic actors, a loving mother, an amazing homemaker, and one of the world's best cooks."

"I will miss her dearly and hope that she is now out of pain and at peace," said Manilow.

Actress Viola Davis posted a video of Somers on Instagram, saying, "RIP Suzanne Somers. I grew up watching Three's Company. You were a joy and forever young. Rest well."

SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher mourned the loss of her friend.

She wrote on Instagram, "The heaviness of this past week's horrors just got worse with the loss of friend Suzanne Sommers. She was a sweet & talented woman, a wife and mother."

Hailing her fighting spirit, Drescher said, "Survivor and thriver for more than 2 decades. But so sad to say she passed away today."

"Life is very hard, wherever we can bring joy, love, empathy and kindness as we move thru each day, do it! RIP dear Suzanne, you will long be remembered," she concluded.

Megyn Kelly on X said she had the chance to meet her once. She said, "Oh no! So sad to see this. She loved to make people laugh. I met her once and she just beamed kindness and beauty and love. R.I.P. Suzanne Somers."

Chef and author Sandra Lee grieved for Somers' death on Instagram.

"Suzanne - kind and generous, fun and funny, and just a few weeks ago was giving me advice on doctors and longevity. I will miss her so! God speed my friend-thank you for your grace, kindness and beautiful life example. Will love you always-Sandy!"

"Devastated to hear about the passing of Suzanne Somers. A true icon and overall amazing human being. You will be greatly missed, my friend," wrote comedian and radio personality Adam Carolla on X.

Media personality Caitlyn Jenner shared an old photo of the two on Instagram.

Jenner wrote, "We lost a true American Icon today. You will be missed. It was always a pleasure and a riot working with you over the years! Here we are way back in the 70's at Pepperdine with Howard! Rest in Peace."

According to Somers's publicist, the late actress will be buried after a private family service this week, and there will be a memorial in November.
