This is a matchup nightmare for the Fever, who have the worst effective field goal percentage in the WNBA at 44.1%. Meanwhile, the Aces are tops in that metric at 55.9% while boasting the best offense by more than eight points per 100 possessions to the second best team, per WNBA.com.
However, it's not just offense, the team is winning with defense too, holding foes to the lowest points per 100 possessions through five games, all wins. The Aces are allowing fewer than 88 points per 100, nearly five points clear of the next best D. Further, the team is the best rebounding group in the league, hauling in 54% of available boards.
The Aces will very likely win, but the betting market knows that. The team has failed to cover two double digit spreads already this season (both on the road), but both the Dream and Sparks were able to keep up offensively, ranking fifth and second in points per 100 possessions, respectively.
