LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans have been anticipating a showdown between UFC fighters Kamaru Usman and Khamzat Chimnaev for quite some time now. Both Usman and Chimnaev are massive names in the welterweight division and naturally, a fight between them has been an intriguing forecast among their fans. In the past, UFC’s (Ultimate Fighting Championship) president Dana White had hinted about a potential fight between the two, but it was all speculation.
Well, certainly not anymore. Recently, the fighting dates between Usman and Chimnaev were announced by UFC president Dana White's friend Adin Ross, but it was unintentional.
When and where is the Usman vs Chimaev fight?
Dana White’s gambling friend and controversial Twitch streamer Adin Ross accidentally released the dates. During a Twitch stream, Ross revealed the date of the supposed fight as October 21. The moment he made the revelation, fans’ reactions were extreme, to say the least, and rightfully so as UFC had not officially revealed the dates yet. As per Ross, the fight will take place in Ethiad Arena, Abu Dhabi.
What exactly did Adin Ross say?
In the stream, Ross said, “Bro y’all are p*** the f off, you don’t know. Usman and Chimaev, like damn bro, October 21st. Y’all didn’t know that you casuals?" Fans were quick to tell him that the information was not out yet, which changed Ross’ expression instantly. He then said, “Wait. Did I just,” and cut himself off. “On god, y’all had no idea? No s***, y’all would’ve spammed it,” he then concluded.
Well, it won’t be the first time Ross has caused controversy and it won’t be the last time either. However, UFC has not given any official statement on the matter after Ross revealed the alleged fight date of Usman and Chimnaev for UFC 294.
