LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ryan Reynolds is a devoted husband to Blake Lively and that reflects on their funny social media posts too. But, only a few fans know that the ‘Deadpool’ star had a long passionate relationship with singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette before that. The two met at Drew Barrymore’s birthday bash in 2002 and were drawn to each other instantly.
A couple of years later, the two Canadian-born couples were engaged and Morisette back then talked about a ‘very passionate’ love affair between the two. "[I] felt so loved by him, in a trampoline kind of way. [He’s] like a soul brother to me, except that I [wanted] to jump his bones, she said. The pair called off their marriage in 2007 and, in a joint statement released by their representatives, said, “They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and respect for each other."

'I stay way too long'
Morissette, in a post-break-up interview, said that she feels ‘angry’ as she stays in relationships way too long. She came up with a new album ‘Flavors of Entanglement’ after splitting with Reynolds which was inspired by their relationship. "It's really about my grief," the 48-year-old told People. It goes like, "I miss your smell and your style and your pure abiding way," reported The List.
'He's a good guy'
Recently, Scarlett Johansson talked about ex-husband Ryan Reynolds in a candid interview. "He's a good guy," she remarked when host Gwyneth Paltrow said, "We love a good Ryan Reynolds in our house,” in one of the remarks on the ‘Green Lantern' actor.
The two were married from 2008 to 2010 and their post-marriage joint statement read, “After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage.” It further said, “We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated.”
