LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott, who starred in the film series 'American Pie', have reunited for a new DoorDash commercial for the Summer of DashPass campaign. The stars expressed their excitement to collaborate once more and their fond recollections of filming the enduring 'American Pie' trilogy.
The DoorDash commercial highlights Biggs and Scott's innate comic connection, as reported by People. As Biggs put it, "Whenever we get back together, it is like we never missed a beat." The two actors' banter in the advertisement is reminiscent of their popular Jim and Steve Stifler characters from 'American Pie'.
'You better not be saying that this summer is going to be better than the one we spent together'
In the ad, Biggs opens the door to receive packages from a DoorDash delivery person, as he receives the package, he exclaims, "Ugh, this is going to be the best summer ever." Scott immediately pops up behind the delivery man, playfully confronting Biggs, "You better not be saying that this summer is going to be better than the one we spent together, buddy. I mean the parties, the pranks. The wet stuff." Biggs, responds, "You lost me on that last one. But yeah, that was fun."
'Nothing compares to shooting those movies'
While reflecting on their time spent filming the 'American Pie' film series, Biggs told the media outlet that it was like going to a special summer camp. "It was like summer camp for us, we would all get together and just have the best time of our lives." Scott equally values the time, he said, "I've been really fortunate to have some fun experiences throughout my career, but nothing compares to shooting those movies."
Their bond doesn't remain restricted to the film sets but beyond as Scott recalled not knowing how they reached home after attending a concert soon after American Pie 1 wrapped its shoot, "We finished American Pie 1, and [Biggs] asked me to go to a Dave Matthews Band concert and let’s just say we partied a little bit. I have no idea how we got home."
Scott also talked about the co-stars, as he remarked: "It just makes me really happy to see them doing different things, especially with Natasha, Jennifer, and Eugene, just seeing them all thrive. It's awesome."
