BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: On October 3, Andrew Tate aka the 'Top G' or Cobra Tate touched 8 million followers on X (previously known as Twitter). Notably, Tate had been initially banned by Twitter in 2017 for controversial comments related to the #MeToo movement.

In November 2022, the kickboxer returned to the platform, announcing to his supporters that it was time to "escape the Matrix." Tate is recognized for his controversial and misogynistic statements, often portraying himself with fast cars, guns, and as a cigar-smoking playboy.

In December 2022, he was arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and rape.

Andrew Tate touched 8 million followers on X

The former kickboxer turned influencer has crafted a narrative that positions him as distinct from the crowd. With a robust presence on 'X', he has successfully amassed millions of followers, particularly among the Gen Z demographic.

Recently, in celebration of reaching 8 million followers, he pledged to donate eight times the number of likes his following tweet would receive to support feeding needy children.

He wrote, "To celebrate 8M followers: Every single like this tweet gets x 8. That exact USD will be a bonus allocation to feeding children via tatepledge.com. We are the world's most efficient charity. Visa. Hotel. Flight tickets. (2%) 98% is spent on aid."

In reply to the same tweet, he wrote, "Tatepledge is funded with personal funds and the donations of WAR ROOM members. We do not accept outside donations. Giving is a gift - it's a privilege. We withhold this privilege for members of THE WAR ROOM."
