Taylor asks Bergie, "So, I have a question for you." She continued, "So, where do you think, what do you think, like the next step we need to take in terms of like getting to know each other more and like opening up."
Taylor further clarified as she asked, "What do you think are the next steps that we need to take? Because I do wanna get to know you."
Bergie answered, "Let's just enjoy this experience and see where things go." He explained, "You can't put pressure on it."
Bergie explained to Taylor, "In my whole lifetime, you're like the second girl I've been closest to already." Apart from Taylor, it was one girl in Bergie's life whom he dated for just 10 months who was as close to him as Taylor.
From Bergie's explanations, it seems that he is not yet ready to commit to Taylor yet.

Carsten 'Bergie' Bergersen is a 23-year-old who works as a general manager for Dairy Queen. He is from South Dakota. Bergie graduated from Dakota State University in May 2023 with a degree in healthcare.
He completed two honor societies, namely NSLS (National Society of Leadership and Success) and Tri Beta (Biology Honor Society). To fulfill his needs and pay the college tuition, Bergie worked as a group fitness instructor while pursuing his graduation.
On the other hand, Taylor Nicole Smith is a 24-year-old hotel manager from Orange County. She played golf for 15 years and also participated in multiple competitions.
Taylor went to California University Long Beach and pursued Hospitality Management in 2022. She entered during the 'Love Island USA' Season Casa Amor twist and instantly sparked a connection with Bergie.
'Love Island USA' Season 5 finale will be released on Sunday, August 28 at 9 pm ET on Peacock.
