A new AR in Warzone Season 6 has taken over the meta after major nerfs to the M13B.
The patch notes for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 delivered weapon buffs and nerfs that paved the way for new weapons to rise in early meta. The M13B and the Kastov 762, two of the best ARs from Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, received heavy nerfs to both their damage ranges and their overall damage.
Now, the long-range meta is once again wide open. So, what's the best AR to run in Warzone Season 6?
Best AR in Warzone After M13B Nerfs
The best AR in Warzone after the M13B nerfs is the TR-76 Geist. Although the Kastov 762 is still a solid option, the new TR-76 Geist offers minimal recoil and high damage perfect for mid-to-long range gunfights on Al Mazrah or any of the Resurgence maps.
Warzone content creator, WhosImmortal, calls the AR a "hybrid of the Kastov 762 and the Lachmann-556." He continues, "You are able to fry and stay on target super easily over range."
Infinity Ward's overview of the TR-76 Geist also brags about the weapon's ability to "fit a wide range of tactics and combat scenarios."
To unlock the TR-76 Geist, players must complete free Sector F7 of the Season 6 Battle Pass. The last DLC AR that entered the meta right after launch was the ISO Hemlock, and that gun dominated lobbies for months before a new option took its place. The TR-76 Geist has the potential to follow a similar path.
