Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan is really bullish on his offensive line heading into the season.

There are so many reasons to be excited about the 2023 Cincinnati Bengals, but offensive coordinator Brian Callahan just gave us one more that we honestly had not even considered.

Callahan appeared on Locked on Bengals earlier in the week and mentioned how strong his offensive line could be. While his father Bill is one of the greatest offensive line coaches in NFL history, the front five had largely been seen as a weakness in Cincinnati throughout most of the Joe Burrow/Zac Taylor era. Well, it is safe to say that this could be deemed a team strength now.

Here is what Callahan said on Locked on Bengals earlier in the week about their offensive line.

Here is the entire episode that featured Callahan, talking all things Bengals earlier this week.

Whether it be Orlando Brown Jr. coming over in free agency, Jonah Williams kicking over to right tackle, Ted Karras and Alex Cappa demonstrating great play along the interior or even La'el Collins providing depth behind the front-five, this has a chance to be one of the better units in the league.

It is still so early in the offseason, but I just have a feeling it may be the Bengals' year this season…

Cincinnati Bengals OC Brian Callahan spoke glowingly about their offensive line

Even if you like somebody else to win the Super Bowl this season, you would be crazy to not have the Bengals as a top-five team in football at this cross-section in time. Having a top-three quarterback in the sport, a top-three receiving corps, and quite arguably, the best coordinator tandem in the game now in Callahan and Lou Anarumo, what is not to love about these Bengals?

To me, it is the latter that has them as my favorite to come out of the AFC and quite possibly, win it all for the first time ever. Anarumo should be an NFL head coach right now, probably over Jonathan Gannon in Arizona, to be honest. Callahan could have taken over in Indianapolis, but it feels like his next ride on the coaching carousel will get him his own franchise to lead come 2024.

While I think the Bengals' defense could pull back a bit due to offseason losses in free agency, I expect for the offense to be even more versatile. There may be some concerns about the ground game, but if pass protection is better, then I am going to put all of my stock in Burrow becoming even more of an Ohio legend. Callahan's side of the ball features no definite ceiling for this season.

If the big uglies stay healthy, then I have a hard team seeing the Bengals not be a final-four team.
