‘Fox & Friends’ host Brian Kilmeade shares an easy-to-make recipe

'Fox & Friends' host Brian Kilmeade recently shared his late mother's easy-to-make artichoke pie recipe, just in time for Black Friday.

Kilmeade's mother Marie Rose D’Andrea, who died in 2018 at the age of 84, was described as "one of America’s original soccer moms."

Despite her demise, Kilmeade's mother's artichoke pie, featured in the 'Cooking with Friends: Eat, Drink & Be Merry' cookbook, serves as an ideal savory delight for hosting friends and family during a delightful gathering.

While discussing the dish, Kilmeade mentioned, "[When] you think pie, you think, you think dessert," and proceeded to explain the steps of the recipe.

To prepare this appetizer-style dish, pepperoni, and artichoke hearts were sautéed in a pan with pre-heated oil and garlic.

He added, “You had to squeeze the water out of [the artichoke hearts], did you notice that?"

Following Kilmeade's guidance, the recipe effortlessly came together as the sautéed pepperoni and artichoke heart mixture were combined with hand-beaten eggs and an array of cheeses.

Once the harmonious filling was achieved, the cheesy blend was poured into the ready-made pie dough, easily obtained from a local grocery store.

Kilmeade reminisced about preparing this recipe with his daughters years ago, suggesting that those making it today were likely to achieve even better results.

He recalled, “According to reports when I made this [recipe] with my daughters in 2015, it caught on fire.”

Kilmeade wrapped up the explanation, emphasizing that the perfect finish on your pie had to be baked at 350 degrees until the crust achieved a golden brown hue.

A playful moment unfolded in one photo as one of the pets appeared to nibble on the book's sides while the others looked toward the camera.

Kilmeade, eager to share his creation, encouraged his fans to purchase the book, providing details in the caption on where to find it.
