Call of Duty: Vanguard Season Three Patch Notes May 16

More patch notes were added to Call of Duty: Vanguard on May 16.

The fourth update in the span of a month has brought some significant changes to Call of Duty: Vanguard. Some of these alterations include changes to player counts alongside other various fields.

To begin with, Sledgehammer Games announced that the Assault Combat Pacing filter was taken away from Quick Play as well as Featured Playlists. The developers are hoping that this change will bring varying maps into rotation. They stated, "Although Assault Combat Pacing is the choice for just 5% of players, its impact on matchmaking cannot be understated." Because of the onset of this change, they are requesting feedback while monitoring players' game analytics.

Tactical and Blitz Combat Pacings have received optimized scaling so that Tactical can be more of a general Call of Duty choice while Blitz is for "high-intensity gameplay." Due to this, many Blitz options now include 10v10 and 14v14 options, while Tactical remains at 6v6.

Here are the following Camo Challenges, straight from Sledgehammer Games website:

Nikita AVT (Assault Rifle) corrected the requirements for multiple Camo Categories:

  • Pack Tactics: 40/80/120/160/200/240/280/320/360/400 Eliminations
  • Surgical: 5/10/15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50 Headshots
  • Predatory Ambition: 5/10/15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50 Multikills
  • Reptilian: 3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24/27/30 Bloodthirsties

M1916 (Marksman Rifle) corrected the requirements for multiple Camo Categories:

  • Pack Tactics: 30/60/90/120/150/180/210/240/270/300 Eliminations
  • Predatory Ambition: 5/10/15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50 Multikills
  • Reptilian: 3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24/27/30 Prone Kills
  • Wildcat: 5/10/15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50 Holding Breath Kills

These changes to the game follow the huge weapon updates that players saw on May 10 and May 12, which are set to compliment these patches. The developers are trying their best to cater to their players, which is clear from their eagerness to receive feedback.

While this update only includes a feature update and Camo Challenges, it's sure to improve the gameplay of many following on from player count changes. With the amount of updates Call of Duty: Vanguard has seen in the past month, it will be interesting to see if any updates will occur during the rest of May.

Call of Duty: Vanguard can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
