ENCINO, CALIFORNIA: Teddi Mellencamp recently revealed on Instagram that she had visited the doctor after finding another spot on her back and had undergone a biopsy. Fans flocked to express their love and support, as did other Bravo stars, as Mellencamp recounted how the news caused her to have severe panic attacks.
In March 2022, Mellencamp disclosed that she had skin cancer after her friend and former 'Real Housewives' co-star Kyle Richards saw the lesions on her back and immediately brought her to a hospital. She had 11 melanomas on the back of her shoulder and three lymph nodes surgically removed in December that year. She recounted how she discovered a bulging growth on her neck and decided to get it checked for safety. She added that she was staying positive despite not knowing the outcome.

'Unfortunately, you cannot control anxiety'
The 'RHOBH' alum said on May 25 that she had one additional area biopsied - after having 11 melanomas removed in mid-December and announcing that she was cancer-free. After posting a video of herself, the reality star stated that she was trying to stay optimistic despite her latest checkup and that she wants to be open about her journey in order to raise melanoma awareness. In the caption, she wrote, "Yesterday, another spot was found on my back that needs to be biopsied. You’d think after 11 melanomas, I’d be used to this. Unfortunately, you cannot control anxiety. And last night I had the worst panic attack."
Mellencamp stated that she was doing her best to soldier on. She hope prayer, meditation, movement, all the things she relies on to overcome anxiety, would at least get her through the day.
She continued, "Please know, if you’re suffering from anything— be it anxiety, melanoma or anything else that causes you to spiral— you are not alone. And it’s okay to express your feelings. If you have any tips for dealing with anxiety, or just want to express how you’re managing today, please share below. We are better together."

Fellow 'RHOBH' star Richards continued to cheer Mellencamp on as she wrote, "Love you Teddi." 'RHONJ' star Jacqueline Laurita left a little prayer for Teddi. One fan commented, "Praying for you TEDDI , by His stripes you are healed !!!" Another added, "You’re not alone and as frustrating as it is you’re on top of it and early detection is key."
Another fan commented, "Sending prayers," while yet another fan wrote, "Sorry your going through this." A follower wrote. "Thinking of you!!! Stay focused on the present moment …" Another said, "You are a champ. Call on your faith and the wonderful healthcare. Prayers for you Teddy."
