NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Anna Delvey seems to have changed her focus from painting and is now pursuing a career in music. Brooke Butler, a budding Country music singer on TikTok, and Delvey worked together on the song 'What the Hell?'
The song will serve as the anthem for Delvey's podcast, 'The Anna Delvey Show', which released on June 6. The episodes star notable figures including Julia Cumming of the band Sunflower Bean, Taylor Lorenz from The Washington Post, comedian Whitney Cummings, Julia Fox, Jeremy O Harris and Emily Ratajkowski, who visited her home to record the podcast.

'What the Hell?' contains never-before-heard audio from a phone conversation Delvey had when she was detained on Rikers Island. Audio Up CEO Jared Gutstadt, who has worked with some big artistes including Lil Wayne, Jelly Roll, DJ Khaled and Machine Gun Kelly, and his longtime writing partner Scarlett Burke penned Delvey's debut single.
Gutstadt reportedly said, "What the Hell? is authentic to the type of music I like to make. It's a fun song and I know a lot of folks will be curious to hear this side of Anna. My hope is that the TikTok world will have some fun with this as well."
Where is Anna Delvey now?
Delvey has been under house arrest in New York City since October 2022. She earned a name for pretending to be a wealthy German heiress in order to get access to the social elite of the city. She arrived in New York from Russia in 2013 and stole around $275,000 between then and the time of her arrest in 2017. She traveled between hotels while using a false identity to use fraudulent credit cards and generate phony bank statements.
Delvey was convicted of eight counts, including attempted grand larceny in the first degree, grand larceny in the second degree, grand larceny in the third degree and theft of services back in 2019. She was initially given a sentence of four to 12 years in prison. However, she was released early in February 2021, as reported by People.
Delvey was detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in March for overstaying her visa. She remained in ICE detention until October 2022, after which she was placed under house arrest in a fifth-floor walk-up apartment building in New York City's East Village. She still runs the risk of being sent back to Germany, where her family resides. Delvey is allowed to leave just to attend weekly immigration meetings.
