Niantic is gearing up to host another exciting event in Pokémon GO as part of its Rising Heroes saga — A Valorous Hero. Here's when it's set to start and end.
A Valorous Hero, the upcoming event in Pokémon GO, tasks players with helping out Team Valor Trainer Candela with some research. This event focuses on battling and powering up Pokémon, with a number of vibrant Pokémon appearing more frequently thanks to encounters and Raids.
Players can also look forward to the following bonuses throughout the event:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- Trainers level 31 and above will have twice the chance to obtain Candy XL from catching Pokémon
Those who complete the event's Special Research tasks featuring the Team Valor leader, Candela, will encounter a Ponyta wearing a Candela-themed accessory.
Raids will feature the likes of Galarian Ponyta, Druddigon, Hisuian Avalugg and even Tapu Fini during Five-Star Raids. But its the Mega Raid that'll be stealing the show this time around, featuring Mega Pinsir will making its Pokémon GO debut.
So for all the Shiny hunters out there, a new question emerges: can Mega Pinsir be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
Is Mega Pinsir Shiny in Pokemon GO?
Yes, as part of its debut, Mega Pinsir can be Shiny in Pokémon GO. Of course, the Pokémon will only be part of the Mega Raids for now, so players will need to be extremely lucky to nab their own Mega Pinsir in Shiny form.
But Mega Pinsir isn't the only new Shiny Pokémon on offer. Lucky players have the chance to encounter a Shiny Tapu Fini for the first time ever, as part of the Five-Star Raids.
Happy hunting!
