China will send a special envoy to Ukraine from Monday, according to the Foreign Ministry, as Beijing tries to foster a diplomatic resolution to Russia’s war.
Ambassador Li Hui, special representative of the Chinese government for Eurasian Affairs, will visit Ukraine, Poland, France, Germany and Russia on his trip.
China Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin announced the news at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday.
