Darwin Nunez to the rescue! In what was supposed to be a tough loss for Liverpool FC at Newcastle, the Uruguayan forward had other ideas. Liverpool was down to 10 men and down 1-0 to Newcastle on the road.
Well, Nunez was a late sub and he scored a brilliant goal to even things up at 1-1. Then late in the game, in shocking fashion, Nunez received a great pass from Mo Salah and once again found the back of the net to give LFC the 2-1 victory. This was simply unreal from him:
Jurgen Klopp had a priceless reaction to both goals, especially the game-winner. Hey, we don't blame the manager for that, as it looked like Newcastle was going to end up walking away with the three points on Sunday.
Nunez wasn't ready to see that happen, though, and he came up big for his team. This was the breakout showing that he needed for LFC.
