Did LeBron James push his son too far with his dream? NBA legend wanted to play his last year with Bronny James

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: LeBron James is known to be among the best celebrity dads and shares an incredible relationship with all his children. However, it is said that his desire to play along with his eldest son Bronny James may have burdened his son. The news broke out on Tuesday, July 25, that his son was hospitalized after suffering a cardiac arrest during basketball practice at the University of South California. The family also issued a statement on his present health, “He is out of the intensive care unit and in stable condition. Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.”

It further read, “We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”

Did LeBron James push his son too far?

LeBron James may have set the bar too high for his son to climb and that too with a deadline some may say too ambitious. "My last year will be played with my son," James told The Athletic on Bronny James. "Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point."

LeBron James is currently in his 19th NBA season, and publicly expressing his desire to play with his kid at the highest stage didn’t go well with many. College coach Dana O’Neil admitted that James' family has been “as low-maintenance as a megastar can be," but the desire to speed up his path to the NBA, "That just complicated everything.” The coach said on added attention to Bronny, "If you play him 30 minutes and then you don't win, what are you doing? But if you play him eight minutes and you do win, are people going to think you're an assh--e for not playing LeBron's kid?" as per BR.

The 4-time MVP praised Bronny in March and tweeted, "Man Bronny definitely better than some of these cats I've been watching on league pass today. Shit lightweight hilarious.”
