LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Being Barbie takes a lot of effort, and it seems like Margot Robbie wasn't spared when it came to matching the doll's iconic look. Almost a year ago, cosmetic surgery blogger Dana Omari Harrell alleged that Robbie, the lead of Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie', supposedly underwent a significant alteration. And after the release of the much-awaited film, the influencer took to her Instagram to restate her claims.
On an October 2022 episode of 'The Dream Bigger Podcast', when questioned by the host Siffat Haider about her favorite celebrity makeover, Harrel immediately mentioned Robbie. Harrell, though, insists that she was not there to disparage Robbie, stating the actress "still looks natural" despite the "incredible work." In fact, she begins the caption of her recent post by complimenting the actress and calling Robbie "the always gorgeous."
'She has had an upper bleph'
In her July 21 Instagram post, Harrell not only included several before and after photos of Robbie but also provided a detailed description of everything she thinks Robbie has undergone over the years to reach her present Barbie-like appearance. "She has had an upper bleph (esp removing some fat under her brow), undereye filler or other augmentation, a minimal brow lift, cheek augmentation, buccal fat removal, lip filler, nose job thinning her tip and reducing the width of her nostrils," wrote the influencer in the caption.
Blepharoplasty, sometimes known as "bleph," is a surgical procedure used to treat upper and/or lower eyelids abnormalities. In an upper blepharoplasty, which Harrell claims Robbie underwent, the sagging of eyelids can be corrected, the muscle that opens the eyes can be repaired, and extra fat around the eyes can be removed. She also claimed that the actress has gone through buccal fat removal, a treatment used to thin the cheeks, as reported by the New York Post.
'Robbie's chin has added a little volume,' according to Harrell
Harrell also wrote, "I also think maybe just a little volume to her chin as her chin has more length now," alleging Robbie's facial changes, and added, "I also think she uses Botox or similar but sparingly, just enough to soften but not enough to prevent movement." Notably, Harrell tagged Lorry Hill, a creator who makes videos about plastic surgery, and asserted that Robbie had something done to alter "her eye shape a little bit," as the YouTuber had claimed in a recent video.
Hill frequently deconstructs purported celebrity makeovers on her YouTube channel, and her most recent video analyzes whether Robbie's appearance is synthetic, natural, or both. Similar to Harrel, rather than criticizing Robbie for her new appearance, she stated that the actress looks "exceptionally beautiful." The YouTuber took to her Instagram to promote her video on Margot Robbie, writing, "New YouTube Celeb analysis; the beautiful Margot Robbie! This one seemed to strike a nerve with people 🤷♀️ link in stories ❤️Lorry."
