'Dude's aged like milk': Hulk Hogan's son Nick, 33, charged with DUI as Internet backlash recalls tragic 2007 crash

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Nick Hogan, the 33-year-old son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, was arrested for DUI shortly before 4 am on November 18, reported TMZ. The television personality was taken into custody by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly refused to take a sobriety test.

The arrest is being logged as a misdemeanor, but Nick remains in police custody, reported the publication. Any further details on the arrest or what led up to it are yet to be revealed.

A post by Nick on his official Instagram page revealed that he would be attending a bikini contest on the night of November 17 at his father's restaurant named Hulk's Hangout on Clearwater Beach.

Incidentally, the arrest took place in the same city where Nick, whose full name is Nicholas Anthony Bollea, was involved in a serious car accident in 2007, at the age of 17.

2007 car crash involving Nick Hogan

Nick was driving a yellow Toyota Supra in Clearwater with his close friend and US Marine, John Graziano, on August 26, 2007, when he lost control of the car and it crashed.

After being airlifted to the hospital, Nick made a full recovery, but Graziano, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, sustained a brain injury that has left him under round-the-clock care for the rest of his life.

The teenager was charged with reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, which he did not contest. He was sentenced to 8 months in Pinellas County Jail, along with five years probation, 500 community service hours, and suspension of driving license for three years.

Police alleged that Nick was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. However, Nick was released from prison after serving around six months due to good behavior.

Before the accident in 2007, Nick had received multiple speeding tickets in the state of Florida, reported the 'Daily Mail'. He admitted being "absolutely reckless" when it came to speeding, saying, "It was being young and honestly just stupid, not mature."

Internet slams Nick Hogan

Social media users trashed Nick after his DUI arrest. "Got away with paralyzing his friend just to go and do this," posted a user.

"Bro aged like milk," commented another.

"Dude collecting DUIs like Tom Brady got rings," chided a third.

"Guess he didn’t learn from the first time," wrote a fourth.

"History repeating itself. So is Daddy going to bail him out of this one too," said a fifth user.
