LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: At Variety's Power of Women gala on November 16, Addison Rae, a GenZ TikTok star, met pop diva Dua Lipa and she couldn't contain her enthusiasm. With over 88 million fans on the popular video-sharing app TikTok, Addison Rae is one of the platform's most popular creators (however, she was dethroned by MrBeast earlier this month).

She is, nevertheless, stepping away from her reputation as a social media celebrity, releasing her debut EP this summer and even appearing in a Hollywood horror movie, 'Thanksgiving', alongside a number of other well-known TikTok creators.

Addison Rae meets Dua Lipa

This November, Addison Rae attended Variety's Power of Women event as one of her big accomplishments. While she was there, she bumped into English-Albanian pop sensation Dua Lipa, who is well-known for songs like 'Levitating' and 'New Rules'.

It’s clear that Addison is a big fan, judging by her body language while having a conversation with the artist. Their interaction was caught on video and posted to X (previously known as Twitter) by 'Variety', showing an ecstatic Rae jumping up and down and holding Dua’s hands.

Although it’s hard to hear what these two ladies were talking about, Addison can be heard saying, “You’re so beautiful” and that she’s “so excited” about something coming up for Dua.

Many of Addison's followers are thrilled that the two have gotten together, especially in the light of Addison's recent musical endeavours.

Addison Rae knows how to handle haters

In an interview with 'ELLE', Rae talked about her career so far. She criticized those who post negative content on social media.

She said, "No matter who you are or what you do, there's going to be negativity." She added, "Social media can be toxic, and dealing with it is definitely an uphill battle. The comments can be so cruel, and it really throws me off that people even feel the need to say the things they do."

She concluded with her solution, saying, "I think if everyone just learned to love themselves, they'd have less to say about other people."
