Spearheaded by the efforts of developer Codemasters and publisher EA Sports, F1 22 is set to usher in the new era of Formula 1 in gaming, serving as the official title of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship.
There are two covers for F1 22, one for the Standard Edition and another for the Champions Edition, which should be well received in the Formula 1 community. Here's what you need to know about the F1 22 cover stars.
F1 22 Cover Stars: Who Are They?
The Standard Edition cover features a trio that are arguably the future of Formula 1: Scuderia Ferrari racing driver and EA Sports Ambassador Charles Leclerc (middle), McLaren's Lando Norris (left) and Mercedes' George Russell (right).
Meanwhile, the F1 22 Champions Edition cover features four legendary racers who have 14 titles between them and a wealth of experience: Red Bull Racing driver and 2021 Formula One World Champion Max Verstappen (right), Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton (left), Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel (far right) and Alpine's Fernando Alonso (far left).
F1 22 is set to release worldwide for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on July 1, 2022. EA Play (via Early Access Trial) and EA Play Pro subscribers, as well as those who purchase the Champions Edition, have had early access to the game since June 28.
