NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ star Lara Spencer seems to have found “love” on the morning show in the form of a rescued pup named Cheif.
The 54-year-old took to Instagram to share a few snaps from behind the scenes of the morning show where she could be spotted playing and cuddling with the pup.
While urging fans to adopt, Spencer gave details about the dog next to her and revealed that he was also up for adoption.

The ‘GMA’ star shared a series of pictures with a rescued pit bull mix to her Instagram before a segment on the morning show.
In the first snap, Spencer was looking into the camera as the pup kissed her face. The subsequent snap captured Spencer playing with the animal and the third snap saw Spencer hugging Cheif, a member of the North Shore Animal League which rescues pets around the country.
North Shore Animal League is often a part of many segments on ‘GMA’ where they bring forth a lot of rescued animals that are ready for adoption.
Spencer who has apparently “adopted another rescue pup a week ago” urged her fans to adopt Cheif without a second thought.
In the caption, Spencer wrote, “I fell in love this morning on GMA. I would adopt this lover in ONE second if I hadn't just adopted another rescue pup a week ago (my husband would probably ask to be adopted if I brought another one home).”
She then requested her followers to come forward and adopt the pit bull mix, stating, “BUT you can!!!!!!” as she gave fans a glimpse into his personality, “His name is CHEIF and he is proof positive that a pit bull mix deserves the same loving care as all other breeds. He's a big teddy bear that just wants to cuddle and play. 10 months old, healthy as can be, and ready to keep your bed or sofa warm for you”
Spencer concluded her post by giving details about the Animal League. "If you are interested PLS call North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY. @animalleague."
