LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: One of Netflix's’s most prized series, ‘Black Mirror’, is coming out with its sixth season to entertain, terrify, confuse, and scare the fans with its dystopian tales. The show aired on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom for the first two seasons and then eventually moved to Netflix where it found worldwide fame. ‘Black Mirror’ is simply a dystopian anthology series with every episode serving its tale of woe and misery brought on by the reality that we might soon embrace in the future. It’s taken almost four years for the show’s creator, Charlie Brooker to come up with a sixth installment that is set to break boundaries like never before.

Netflix likes to up the ante with all of its productions but ‘Black Mirror’ has been the one of those futuristic series that really resonate with audiences, whether you are a fan of the sci-fi genre or not. The first look trailer for the upcoming season was released last month by the streaming behemoth and created a lot of buzz online. Now, Netflix's official Twitter account has released further details of all the episodes that will be a part of the new season.

'Five new nightmares'

The sixth season of ‘Black Mirror’ is expected to release in June 2023 but Netflix has started marketing the show to keep the excitement building till the launch day. For now, the streaming platform has revealed the titles of the five episodes that will form the sixth season. ‘Joan is Awful,’ ‘Loch Henry,’ ‘Beyond the Sea,’ ‘Mazey Day,’ and ‘Demon ’79’ are the name of the episodes in the upcoming season. While releasing the titles, Netflix also released a short statement that read, “Five new episodes. Five new nightmares. Black Mirror S6, coming this June.”

The people starring in these nightmarish episodes are A-list stars such as Salma Hayek, Kate Mara, and Aaron Paul. British actor of Indian descent, Himesh Patel who made his mark in Danny Boyle’s ‘Yesterday’ will also make his presence felt in this show that investigates morality in a world driven mad by technology. Apart from the impressive cast, the creator of the show, Charlie Brooker’s promise about the new season has got the fans all riled up.

'Like nothing you’ve seen before'

Brooker has vowed that the new season will push all the boundaries that we associate with a ‘Black Mirror’ episode. He mentioned in an interview, “This time, alongside some of the more familiar Black Mirror tropes we’ve also got a few new elements, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do, to stretch the parameters of what a Black Mirror episode even is.” He further added, "The stories are all still tonally Black Mirror through-and-through – but with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before.”
