NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Harvard University President Claudine Gay addressed the public in a video released on October 12, as the university grapples with criticism in the aftermath of a pro-Palestinian statement endorsed by numerous student organizations.

The statement held Israel "entirely responsible" for the terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas in the country and the ensuing turmoil in the region.

On Saturday, shortly after Hamas initiated its unprecedented terrorist attacks on Israel, 34 student organizations endorsed a statement put forth by the Harvard Palestine Solidarity Groups.

The statement commenced by holding the "Israeli regime" accountable for "all unfolding violence."

Following this news, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X (formerly Twitter) to take a brutal jab at Gay’s comments as she called out the President for ‘free expression’ speech.

However, the internet didn’t respond positively to Ingraham’s speech as she faced backlash from her followers.

Laura Ingraham calls out Harvard President Claudine Gay on ‘free expression’

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham took to X and wrote, “Maybe time to have the College Republicans invite me to speak, then we’ll see how much Harvard really 'embraces' free expression.”

Ingraham’s tweet also featured Harvard President Claudine Gay’s video where she addressed the issue of pro-Hamas demonstrations on campus.

In the video, Gay said, “Our university embraces a commitment to free expression. That commitment extends to views that many of us find objectionable or outrageous."

She said that though the university does not "punish or sanction" people for expressing polarizing views, it does not mean that it endorses them.

Gay continued, “We can issue public pronouncements, declaring the rightness of our own points of view and vilify those who disagree. Or we can choose to talk and to listen with care and humility, to seek deeper understanding and to meet one another with compassion.”

“We can inflame an already volatile situation on our campus. Or we can focus our attention where it belongs on the unfolding tragedy thousands of miles away,” she added.

“We can ask ourselves how, as human beings, we can be helpful to people who are desperately trying to protect themselves and their families. People who are fighting to survive,” Gay exclaimed in the video.

In her video, President Gay concluded by expressing her belief in the Harvard community coming together "despite their differences’ in the past. She emphasized they are capable of facing this moment and each other "with grace."

Internet dubs Laura Ingraham ‘miserable person’

Another added, “No one wants you to speak. You're 1m geriatric viewers are the only ones. @mattgaetz is the man.”

One more wrote, “See, that’s the rub. Nobody wants to pay to hear you speak. You are lucky Fox News is bundled,” and another had a similar opinion, “You’re not welcome there‼️ Sorry, they don’t want to hear a conservative opinion.”

Another took a brutal jab adding, “Ya but you’re a miserable person so what fun would that be?”
