NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News anchor Greg Gutfeld went on a cheerful rant about Elon Musk as the Tesla tycoon's recent interview with Joe Rogan became the center of the discussion on 'The Five'.
Musk had talked about wanting to save the world from a so-called "mind virus" by buying Twitter at what he considered to be a hilariously overhiked amount.
Gutfeld praised the businessman for his words and hailed him for buying the social media platform.

While on the popular podcast 'The Joe Rogan Experience', Musk was asked why he agreed to pay a whopping $44 billion in 2022 for Twitter, something that people make fun of to this day.
Musk reasoned that he wanted to stop a "mind virus," referring to philosophy sprouting from San Fransico from spreading around the world as Twitter gave it the weapon of "information technology," allowing the so-called virus to spread "unopposed."
"The outcome of that mind virus is very clear if you walk around the streets of downtown San Fransico. It is the end of civilization," Musk told Rogan.
Musk had gone back on his assurance to pay $44 billion to Twitter until the company sued him for it.
Gutfeld also looked past it as he dived into his fan moment on 'The Five'.

"He's amazing," he said, "By the way that interview is incredible...Why would the world's richest man who could do anything do this? At a great cost to him?"
The host then continued, "It's to save civilization. He realized from outside looking at Twitter that it was a silencing mechanism that was removing dissent for just these pernicious beliefs of people that basically live in five square miles, right?"
Referring to Musk's statement about the "mind virus" in San Francisco, Gutfeld added, "And they are projecting these crazy beliefs that have destroyed San Fransico, ultimately around the United States to create, like, an open-air apocalypse. And he knows he's doing it! And he's doing an important thing because look at the people that he's scaring."
Gutfeld later referred to the demands for moderating the social media platform since Musk took over the site. He said, "You're seeing extinctionalists, which he talks about: people who believe that your thoughts or just humans in general need to be controlled or ultimately silenced," referring to the "people that he's scaring."
Musk did everything in his power to take over Twitter, now known as X, and to take back to when it was devoid of any moderation, including bringing back deleted accounts of personalities like Donald Trump.
"If you're against Musk, you're essentially the villain in one of the greatest movies being made right now," Gutfeld concluded.
