Given the nature of his job, George is always seen in suits with a crisp shirt and tie complimenting it. He’s always looking sharp with his hair slicked back and doesn’t sport a disheveled look ever. However, an occasion with his wife Ali Wentworth did allow him the liberty to break free.
The 62-year-old anchor took a break from his rigid newsman look for a date with his wife, Ali Wentworth. This is a rare occasion where George was not ‘suited’ up as he usually is and appeared to be in a more casual attire. The moment was then captured by George’s wife who couldn’t help but share this with her followers on social media. But why was George out of a suit and into a casual attire, around his wife?
Date night at the Stephanopoulos house
George and Ali decided to go on a date night. It was then George ditched his usual sharp suit for more casual attire. George’s hair was also completely out of place in an uncharacteristically tousled style. But the biggest difference was the absence of a suit. The 'GMA' star donned a simple navy T-shirt with a hearty smile on his bespectacled face. Ali went for a similar casual dress for their date, wearing a nude button-down cardigan. On their way to the date, the couple smiled for the camera while posing outside a park in Manhattan, New York City.
George and Ali have been married for over two decades and have two daughters named Harper, 18, and Elliott, 20. The parents are known to keep their daughters out of the spotlight but continue to share a few moments of bliss with the world from time to time.

George’s daughters are college bound. Elliott is already attending Brown University while Harper is all set to attend Vanderbilt University in the fall. George recently posed for a sweet photo with Harper before her prom. Harper wore a modest pink dress that fell past her knees teamed with a pale yellow corsage. Fans were quick to praise George for his youngest daughter's outfit, with one fan saying, “Finally, a young lady with an appropriate dress! Great picture,” while the other added, "Beautiful picture of father and daughter. Love it.”
Last month in May 2023, the Stephanopoulos family enjoyed a Taylor Swift concert together and Ali shared a series of snaps with her followers on Instagram. The family continues to find small moments of respite from their busy schedules.
