LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ celebrated the 50th anniversary of hip hop in their latest episode, and to earmark this landmark moment, the producers invited four times Grammy nominated rapper Jeezy to drop the beats for their viewers. The 45-year-old has a plethora of fans across America but there was also one in the ‘GMA’ studio who couldn’t seemingly stop blushing at the mention of Jeezy’s name.

Michael Strahan was once again missing from the Monday, August 7 morning broadcast of the show. Rebecca Jarvis filled in for him alongside regulars Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos who were present in the studio to welcome Jeezy. However, before the rapper came to the podium on Times Square to perform for ‘GMA’ viewers, George teased Rebecca who according to him was “checking out Jeezy” during the break. Rebecca blushed, confirming George’s statement, and later grooved to Jeezy’s performance.

'Rebecca was checking out Jeezy during the break'

Jeezy is an acclaimed rapper in the arena of hip hop music with millions of albums sold under his name. He was the apt name to earmark the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop music and ‘GMA’ didn’t hesitate to give him a platform to perform. However, the excitement to see him live engulfed host Rebecca who couldn’t help but gaze at Jeezy during the break. Her co-host George spotted this and as soon as they returned from the commercial, George said, “Rebecca was checking out Jeezy during the break” and laughed hysterically.

Rebecca blushed and replied, “I put on,” showcasing her love for the rapper by stating the name of the song that she liked about him. Roberts wasn’t behind and playfully teased Rebecca. She said, “Just when you think you have her (Rebecca) figured out.” Rebecca looked away and said, “Whatever” and laughed at the prospect of having been caught in the act of swooning over their guest on the show. Later, when Jeezy was performing, Rebecca rushed to the fans in the studio and danced and grooved to his songs, all smiling and gushing over the rapper’s performance.

Jeezy promotes his new book 'Adversity for Sale: Ya Gotta Believe’ on ‘GMA’

The American rapper has enjoyed a successful career in the music industry but has now decided to take strides as a writer. The 45-year-old has written a memoir titled, ‘Adversity for Sale: Ya Gotta Believe’ which is centered around all the failures and challenges that he faced in his life and the different ways he overcame them. Jeezy mentioned that transitioning from music to writing wasn’t easy as he had to embrace a lot of “undealt traumas.” Talking about the book, Jeezy said, “This book can help anybody who has to fight to get where they’re trying to because we have to start from the bottom to get to the top.” He then continued to charm the audience and the hosts with his thunderous performance.
