'GMA' host Rebecca Jarvis wows fans with 'spot on' leadership lessons from 'Barbie': 'How many takes did you do before posting'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ host Rebecca Jarvis was extremely delighted after learning that ‘Barbie’, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has become the first ever film solely directed by a woman to cross the $1 billion threshold at the global box office.

The 41-year-old decided to celebrate this unprecedented feat in her own way by talking about the leadership qualities that emanate from the film. Jarvis took to Instagram after recording a small clip that spoke about all the great ‘“leadership takeaways” one can learn from ‘Barbie.’ In the brief clip, Jarvis ecstatically mentioned lead actress Margot Robbie’s troubles as a producer, director Greta Gerwig’s constant creative tussles with the studio, and the competition from ‘Oppenheimer.’ The ‘GMA’ host elaborated on three crucial leadership qualities for her fans, and impressed them with her impeccable articulation about the film.

What did Rebecca Jarvis say about ‘Barbie’?

Jarvis started the clip by addressing ‘Barbie’s’ greatest feat to date and then elaborated on the leadership qualities that the people associated with the film exhibit. Speaking about the first quality, the ‘GMA’ host said, “You will hear no,” and later detailed Margot Robbie’s continuous struggles to bring the studio on board and make them believe that the film was a $1 billion venture which eventually came true. “Assemble the team you believe in,” said Jarvis, who stated that it was a battle between director Gerwig and the studio to get them on board with the creative decisions. However, this quality was what struck a chord with the fans.

“Embrace your competition” is what Jarvis said about 'Barbie'. She mentioned that the film was competing with Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ and instead of launching a smear campaign, it decided to go hand in hand with its competitor which brought great results. And at last, Jarvis stated that “excellence takes time” and that no matter the odds, one should continue to strive for excellence but be patient in its pursuit. Jarvis’ pin-point articulation of the leadership qualities left her followers impressed, and who couldn’t help but rave about the ‘GMA’ host’s skills.

‘You would make an outstanding trial attorney’

Jarvis has a loyal fan following who were quick to jump on the wagon to appreciate their idol. One fan wrote, “YOU are so bright, so articulate, you can tell a story that is both entertaining and educating. You would make an outstanding trial attorney bc of your composure and you because of the way you tell a story”, while another inquired, “One question: how many takes did you do before posting this? Because in my humble opinion, what you've highlighted here is SPOT ON from every point made. You should save this to share with your daughter when she's older, approaching a big decision/project because your words here are truly timeless and priceless.”

A third said, “Wow I did not know all this — how amazing! Thanks for sharing!”, while a fourth stated, “Absolutely terrific appraisal of what important ideas there are about this film and who made it. Thank you!” Another fan complimented her and said, “Such great lessons. Thanks again Rebecca for giving clarity to big ideas.”
