It’s one of the most famous family feuds in music history, but Noel Gallagher has revealed what it would take for him to put things with his brother behind him and “consider” getting Oasis back together. Noel and Liam Gallagher went their separate ways in 2009 and haven’t played together since then. Despite Liam voicing his enthusiasm for a reunion at various times in the past, Noel has always been the one most resistant to getting the Britpop band together again. However, it now looks like he could be more open to the idea than he has been for years. He was asked about the idea on Johnny Vaughan’s Radio X show, where the host said: “A while ago you gave me that chance. “You said, ‘If you turn up to my house with eight million quid cash in an Adidas bag, I’d put them back together’. If I was the middleman in that, we still up for that?” Noel replied: “I would consider it… I would properly consider it, yeah.” The musician was then asked whether being questioned about a possible reunion over the years had become tiresome. He said: “It used to really annoy me when I first started and now it’s just, it’s just whatever… I’m fascinated with people asking the same question and getting the same answer, but the thing that is ongoing and will never get old is how the music just keeps appealing to another generation of fans. “I was up at the Etihad for the Real Madrid game and two young guys, only the same ages as my kid, like 13, 14, kinda leapt out of this box and were like ‘Oh my God’. “[They were] freaking out and then their dad came out and said, ‘they’re massive fans’ and I was thinking God, they were one when I went solo! Manchester United’s crucial Champions League clash against Galatasaray will be subject to a pitch inspection after hours of torrential rain in Istanbul left the match in danger of being postponed. Uefa officials were forced to examine the surface RAMS Park after thunderous downpours on Wednesday afternoon, with the Group A clash set to kick off at 8:45pm local time (5:45pm GMT) this evening. The Uefa Youth League match between Galatasaray and United, held earlier in the day and at a different stadium, was played during the torrential rain, which left the pitch sodden and the ball holding up on the surface. There is still time for conditions to improve ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash but there is also the prospect of further rain and the pitch becoming completely waterlogged. For now, Uefa are insistent that the match will go ahead and preparations are continuing as usual, but the conditions could still play a part on what is an important night in United’s season. United cannot afford to lose in Turkey and will be out of the Champions League if they are beaten by Galatasaray, who won 3-2 at Old Trafford earlier this season. Erik ten Hag’s side come into the match having shown some improved form, however. United have won their last three games in the Premier League and last suffered defeat when they were beaten 4-3 by Copenhagen following Marcus Rashford’s red card. United conclude their Champions League group stage campaign against Bayern Munich on matchday six, with the German side currently top of Group A with four wins from four. In fact, his Chinese doppelgänger is also preparing himself in case, for some reason, he’s called upon to take his place in the bout. In case you missed it, Musk and Zuckerberg seemingly agreed to a cage match after it was leaked that Zuckerberg's Meta was planning to release a rival to Twitter called Threads. After Musk said he’d be up for a cage match if he is”, Zuckerberg then posted a screenshot of Musk's tweet to his Instagram story saying "send me location".
