Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino knows importance of Burnley game after two wins
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has stressed that “every single game is important” as the Blues look to continue their winning run at Burnley. They have secured back-to-back wins after beating Brighton 1-0 in the League Cup and seeing off west London rivals Fulham 2-0 in the Premier League on Monday. Up next for Chelsea is a trip to Turf Moor to face the Clarets and Pochettino knows how tough a match it will be. He told a press-conference: “Every single game is important for us, for us it’s two different things. “One is to get the result we need, another is to settle and help the players to arrive at their best to get their best form that they can. “Every single game in the Premier League is important and of course tomorrow is going to be a tough game because it’s a team who run a lot and try to play. Of course it’s going to be tough but we go there to try to win the three points.” Monday’s victory saw Mykhailo Mudryk score his first goal for the club before Armando Broja added another to break a three-game winless run in the Premier League for the Blues, who are currently 11th in the table. With two consecutive wins under their belt, Pochettino is hopeful his side can keep the momentum going into the international break. “Now after two victories it’s important to keep thinking the same way – that we need to improve,” he added. “We were losing games and not getting what we deserved, I think. Keeping the balance and keeping the belief was important too. “I think the most important is the journey, we know the way we need to keep improving, we’ve won two games but it’s still nothing so far with the way we wanted to play and to perform. “To go into the international break with a different feeling than the last international break is really important for us to win the game, but we need to stay calm. “We have been preparing really well for the game and of course we are going to arrive in a condition to compete against a team who is doing well also and trying to be better than them.” Every single game is important for us, for us it’s two different things. One is to get the result we need, another is to settle and help the players to arrive at their best to get their best form that they can Mauricio Pochettino Pochettino provided positive news on defender Reece James, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury he picked up in training last month. The Argentinian confirmed James has been in training, but the England international will miss the Burnley clash following a suspension and fine after admitting to abusing a match official during last month’s defeat to Aston Villa. “I think he was training with the group, it’s a shame that he is suspended and banned for tomorrow,” Pochettino said. “We are really happy in the way he’s recovering, he’s doing well and we hope after the international break he can be available. He is available but after the suspension (is served).” Chelsea are still without several players with Benoit Badiashile and Trevoh Chalobah both in partial team training, while Ben Chilwell, Marcus Bettinelli, Wesley Fofana, Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia are all in different stages of their respective rehabilitation programmes. Brilliant Harry Kane hits a hat-trick as Bayern Munich put eight past Darmstadt
Harry Kane scored his second hat-trick of the Bundesliga season – including one from his own half – as 10-man Bayern Munich bounced back from a goalless first 45 minutes to beat nine-man Darmstadt 8-0 on a wild afternoon at the Allianz Arena. Joshua Kimmich was sent off after just four minutes, but red cards for Klaus Gjasula and Matej Maglica ensured the hosts had the man advantage at the break, the first time three men have ever been sent off in the first half of a German top-flight encounter. Kane broke the deadlock six minutes after the restart but it was his second goal, a magnificent effort from inside his own half, that was the highlight of a contest that also saw him pick up an assist on the first of two goals for Jamal Musiala before striking in his 12th goal from nine matches of this still-new Bundesliga season. Leroy Sane, who set up Kane’s third, scored two of his own while Thomas Muller also contributed to the heaviest defeat in the visitors’ history.Things got off to a dramatic start when Kimmich brought down Marvin Mehlem at the edge of the area and was shown a straight red, deemed to have prevented the visitors from a clear goal-scoring opportunity after just four minutes. Bayern were initially awarded a penalty after Gjasula was judged to have tripped Konrad Laimer, but on review referee Martin Petersen overturned his decision, determining Gjasula was the last man and the incident occurred outside the penalty area – resulting in the Albanian’s 21st-minute dismissal and a free-kick for the hosts. Darmstadt were holding their own against the Bundesliga title-holders in the 10-v-10, even holding the shot advantage through the first 37 minutes, but became the architects of their own undoing when Maglica caught up with Kane in nearly the exact same spot as the previous red-card incident. The outcome was also the same though the visitors, down to nine men, were able to sustain the deadlock to half-time despite threats from Kane and Sane, who had a goal chalked off for offside. It was a different story after the restart when Kane broke the deadlock with a diving header to open the scoring six minutes into the second half, five minutes before Sane tapped home Laimer’s cross from six yards. Then it was Musiala’s turn, extending to the advantage to 3-0 with an assist from Kane and throwing open the floodgates in the process as Sane bagged his brace with an 18-yard strike past Schuhen four minutes later. Then came Kane’s piece de resistance, a world-class strike from just beyond the halfway line, sending Marcel Schuhen on a futile scramble as he watched the ball touch down in the back of his net. https://x.com/FCBayernEN/status/1718281482190438463?s=20 Muller made it six with his first goal of the season before Musiala slotted past Schuhen for Bayern’s seventh, and while the Darmstadt keeper made a few good saves, desperate not to see his side lose by double-digits, he could not keep out Kane. The England captain, hungry for more, latched into a perfect pass from Sane to complete his hat-trick and relentless Bayern’s second-half rout. Woman ends up stuck with Airbnb guest who refuses to leave her home
A woman was left raging after claiming an Airbnb tenant refused to leave her home. In a furious explicit-filled rant reposted to the @2RawTooReal Twitter account, the woman urged people to "trust no f***ing Airbnbs," alleging that her temporary house guest wouldn't leave – despite getting the police involved. She explained how she posted an advertisement on the popular rental website to help with the mortgage while she was on holiday. The guest was supposed to be gone three days before she arrived home. In a follow-up video, she filmed the unidentified (and unwelcome) lodger who brutally hit back: "I ain't going nowhere. Deal with it." After the homeowner accused the stranger of being a "freeloader", she replied furiously: "Call the police because I ain't going nowhere. Don't touch that [bedroom] door, or I'm calling the police on you. They're gonna arrest you." The would be tenant proceeded to make herself comfortable and even went as far as lighting a cigarette in the homeowner's dining area. "Are you smoking in my house?" the enraged woman said, before abruptly ending the video. Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The viral footage was soon inundated with responses from stunned Twitter users. One person came up with their own innovative solution, writing: "This is the part where I cut off all the power, the cable, internet, etc. We are gonna live like it’s 1800. I would summon the worst vindictive version of myself to make it as uncomfortable AF for them to get them out of my house." Another joked: "Lmfaooo why is she so comfortable!?! Walking around with no shoes on, moving slowly etc." Meanwhile, a third person added: "This is one of the most insane things I've ever seen." Indy100 reached out to Airbnb for comment.
