Father shoots dead three young sons and wounds mother at Ohio home, police say
An Ohio father allegedly shot dead his three young sons in the garden of the family home and wounded their mother. Chad Doerman, 32, was arrested in Clermont County and charged with murdering the three boys aged 7, 4, and 3, in the shocking incident, according to officials. The alarm was raised on Thursday afternoon when a female called 911 and screamed that “her babies had been shot,” reported ABC News. A second 911 call was then received several minutes later from a passerby who said that a young female had been running down the street screaming that “her father was killing everyone.” Clermont County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the home in Monroe Township, which is located 26 miles southeast of Cincinnati, where they found the suspect sitting on a step outside. He was taken into custody without incident. The sheriff’s office says that deputies then found “three unresponsive gunshot victims in the yard of the residence” and first responders immediately began life-saving measures. “All life-saving measures were unsuccessful and all three gunshot victims succumbed to their injuries while on scene,” they said. “A fourth gunshot victim, later identified as an adult female age 34, was also located outside of the residence. The female sustained what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to her hand [and was] non-life threatening.” Mr Doerman was interviewed by detectives and charged with three counts of aggravated murder. He was taken to the Clermont County Jail where he is currently being held without bond. David Gast, the chief prosecutor in Clermont County, spoke during an arraignment hearing on Friday. “The trauma that this man has inflicted on his family, community, law enforcement, first responders, and all the rest of us is unspeakable,” he said. “There has been a full admission in this case, the case is still new, we’re still discovering facts. But the evil horror of what we know is impossible to process. “In an act of incomprehensible cruelty, the father that stands before you lined up his three young boys and executed them in his own home with a rifle. In an act of desperation, the mother at some point grabbed the gun the father was wielding to attempt to protect them.” Read More DoJ releases scathing report of systemic abuse by Minneapolis Police after investigation prompted by George Floyd murder Synagogue shooter found guilty in deadliest attack on Jewish community in US history Clown performer’s 15-year-old son shot dead as he entertained children’s party

Replicas of Rihanna’s Super Bowl jumpsuit sell out for $2,900 each in less than 24 hours
Replicas of Rihanna’s jumpsuit during the Super Bowl just hit online stores – and sold out in less than 24 hours. Luxury fashion brand Loewe took to Instagram on 19 October to announce the launch of its red cargo jumpsuit. The product arrived months after Rhianna made headlines at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, during which she announced her second pregnancy while wearing a red jumpsuit over her matching sheer bodysuit. The company went on to describe the inspiration behind the jumpsuit and some of its features, with reference to the singer’s performance in February. “A special edition release inspired by the iconic Super Bowl look worn by Rihanna is now available online and in selected stores,” the company wrote, alongside photos of Rihana’s show and of the brand’s jumpsuit. “The cargo jumpsuit and trousers feature a range of utility details drawing upon flight gear and the halftime show’s dynamic scenography.” On Loewe’s website, the jumpsuit is available in poppy red – which imitates the colour of Rihanna’s outfit – and black. The website specified that the outfit is “crafted in medium-weight cotton canvas” and weighed about 1.2 kg. Some of the other features of the look, which is being sold for $2,900, include an “elasticated belt”, “Elasticated ankle cuffs with zip detail,” and “sipped jet pockets at the front”. The outfit is also described as a “relaxed fit” with a straight-legged pants style. As of 20 October, the poppy red jumpsuit is already sold out in all sizes. However, the black version of the cargo look is still available, but only in select sizes. Although the red jumpsuit is sold out online, it has continued to be sold in some of Loewes stores, which are in Dubai, Madrid, and other locations. Back in February of this year, Rihanna first took the stage in an iconic all-red look and high ponytail at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Super Bowl show also marked her official return to live performances, after a five-year hiatus. During the 12-minute performance, she performed a mash-up of some of her biggest hits, including “Only Girl (In the World)”, “We Found Love”, “Work”, and “Wild Thoughts”. While speaking at a press conference before the Super Bowl, the “Disturbia” singer described how her son RZA, who she shares with partner A$AP Rocky, ultimately encouraged her to perform at the event. “When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world,” she said. “You can do anything, and the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. So as scary as that was because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all.” She added: “And it’s important for me to do this, this year it’s important for representation and it’s important for my son to see that.” In August, TMZ was the first to report that Rihanna and Rocky had welcomed their second child, with the outlet claiming that the baby arrived on 3 August in Los Angeles. Although the beauty mogul has yet to publicly comment on the arrival of her second child, she and her partner posed for some photos with the newborn, Riot Rose, in September. In the picture, taken and posted by Miles Diggs, Rocky was seen holding Riot, while RZA stood next to his mother, who was leaning against a car. The also photo marked the first public image of the family of four together. Russians against Ukraine war should spy for the UK, MI6 boss says
The head of MI6 has urged Russians appalled by the war in Ukraine to “join hands” with his spy service and bring the bloodshed to an end. In his second speech since becoming chief of the Secret Intelligence Service in 2020, Richard Moore said there appeared little prospect of Vladimir Putin’s forces regaining momentum in Ukraine – whose long-awaited counteroffensive is now under way. Delivering his speech at the British embassy in Prague, the MI6 chief likened the current situation in Ukraine to the Prague Spring in 1968, when the Soviet Union quashed liberalising reforms. “As they witness the venality, infighting and callous incompetence of their leaders – the human factor as its worst – many Russians are wrestling with the same dilemmas as their predecessors did in 1968,” Moore said. “I invite them to do what others have done this past 18 months and join hands with us. Our door is always open ... Their secrets will be safe with us and together we will work to bring the bloodshed to an end.” While Mr Putin has sought to maintain an iron grip on the war narrative since Russia’s full-scale invasion last February, with the aid of state TV, public opinion of the conflict is likely to have been knocked by Moscow’s apparent military setbacks and his mobilisation of reservists last Septmeber. Many fighting age men have fled abroad to escape the draft, while thousands of protesters have been arrested in infrequent demonstrations across scores of Russian cities since the war began. “There are many Russians today who are silently appalled by the sight of their armed forces pulverising Ukrainian cities, expelling innocent families from their homes and kidnapping thousands of children,” said Mr Moore. “They are watching in horror as their soldiers ravage a kindred country. They know in their hearts that Putin’s case for attacking a fellow Slavic nation is fraudulent, a miasma of lies and fantasy.” More follows...
