Kate Middleton re-wears Alexander McQueen suit to watch England beat Argentina in Rugby World Cup
The Princess of Wales was in good spirits at the Rugby World Cup, which she attended in an Alexander McQueen suit she first wore at her daughter’s christening in 2015. On Saturday (9 September), Kate was photographed cheering in the crowd as England beat Argentina 27-10 in the match, which took place at the Stade de Marseille in France. The 41-year-old wore a tailored white suit comprised of a single-breasted blazer and tailored trousers that she also wore to Princess Charlotte’s christening. Kate, who is patron of the Rugby Football Union, accessorised the outfit with a pair of Mappin & Webb diamond earrings and a matching diamond pendant necklace from the brand. She sat alongside Bill Beaumont, chairman of World Rugby, for the duration of the game and afterward went to meet the players in their dressing room to congratulate them on their victory. Kate is known to re-wear her luxury designer looks, having regularly re-worn red carpet looks to major events, like the Baftas. Her appearance at the Rugby World Cup comes after her husband, the Prince of Wales, faced criticism for not attending the Women’s football World Cup final in Sydney last month. Kate also did not attend. The Lionesses were ultimately beaten in a historic World Cup final against Spain. The Prince of Wales, who is the president of the Football Association (FA), watched the match on television. It is understood that the decision was made because it would involve flying across the world for a very short period of time. Kate, meanwhile, recently paid homage to the late Queen Elizabeth on the first anniversary of her death. On Friday (8 September), she stepped out in drop-down pearl earrings as an ode to Her Majesty, waling alongside Prince William as the pair attended a service at St David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire, Wales. For the occasion, she paired a long-sleeve burgundy trench coat dress and matching hat with the Queen’s Silver Jubilee diamond and pearl earrings. Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth last year, Kate kept the same earrings on for the entire week, including while in Sandringham greeting well-wishers. Cult horror film ‘worse than Human Centipede’ is terrifying viewers all over again
TikTok users have revived a 2014 horror film featuring Lily-Rose Depp that has left them feeling "traumatised". Heidi Wong (@itsheidiwong) branded the film "worse than The Human Centipede," with hundreds of fellow TikTokers agreeing. "Out of all the horror movies that I’ve seen, this one gets to me the most," she said, before explaining: “Tusk is about a podcaster who meets a crazy man who wants to turn him into a walrus, as in surgically turn him from a human to a walrus." In another video, Heidi described it as a horror film that is not spoken about enough, adding in the caption that it was "not ok" – and she wasn't alone with her thoughts. One person responded: "Nah that man scared me for the rest of my life tbh his face and the whole whale room." @itsheidiwong This movie was NOT OK? Lando Norris snaps at Max Verstappen ‘BFF’ comment
Lando Norris snapped back after a reporter labelled Max Verstappen the British driver’s “BFF.” Norris and Verstappen are good friends and are regularly seen chatting and joking with one another in the paddock. Verstappen won 19 of the 22 races in the 2023 season while Norris – still searching for his first F1 victory – finished on the podium seven times without securing that elusive win. However, the McLaren driver reacted frostily when a journalist hinted after Sunday’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix that his relationship with the three-time world champion was closer than it actually is. “He’s not my BFF (best friend forever), don’t ever say that again,” said Norris. “We respect each other and we get along, kind of friends away [from the track], but that’s it. We just have a lot of respect for one another.” Norris has been linked with the second seat at Red Bull, though has a contract with McLaren until the end of the 2025 season. Sergio Perez has a contract at Red Bull which expires at the end of next season. Red Bull boss Christian Horner admitted in September that Norris was one of many drivers who the team are “keeping an eye on.” “Lando’s a great driver,” said Horner. “He’s a big talent, big personality and of course he’s one of those drivers that you keep an eye on. “But there’s many drivers that you keep an eye on as well. There’s a generation of drivers out there at the moment that have got a huge amount of talent.” The 2024 F1 season starts on March 2 with a Saturday night opening race – the Bahrain Grand Prix.
