Apple’s next iPhone may include new battery technology, report suggests
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 may feature a new stacked battery design that is commonly used in electric vehicles, a new report has suggested. The new handset models expected to be launched in September may have their battery components stacked on top of each other, according to a seasoned leaker who goes by the username RGcloudS on Twitter. This design may lead to battery components being more tightly packaged, likely offering a higher energy density for the new iPhones. An earlier report from ITHome had suggested that these next-gen iPhones could feature as much as a 15 per cent boost to battery life. Many experts said battery packs are one area where there is an opportunity for Apple to explore more innovation. While cameras and display screens have gotten better over the years, there have only been marginal improvements in battery life across models. The development currently seen in the existing iPhone 14 battery life is also not as significant as that seen with the previous model iPhone 13. The leaker, however, pointed out that the new battery technology design for iPhone 15 remains “limited”, indicating that it may not be fully implemented as the handsets roll out for the public. There have been a number of rumours so far regarding design upgrades for the iPhone 15. Some leakers claim the new iPhone could ditch the lightning port in favour of USB-C for the first time and that Apple might remove the mechanical volume and power buttons on its handsets and replace them with solid-state ones. Rumours also suggest the iPhone 15 could feature a new chip to support Apple’s upcoming Vision Pro VR headset and allow the phone to work as part of a “more competitive ecosystem”, leaker Ming-Chi Kuo had said. This latest rumour comes on top of several other features Apple announced for its upcoming iPhone at its Worldwide Developer’s Conference last month. At the conference, the tech giant said iPhone 15 upgrades would include a range of new tools from one for journalling and AirDrop updates to live transcription in voicemail and a new standby mode to turns the iPhone into a smart display. Julen Lopetegui wants to ‘solve the problem’ amid doubts over his Wolves future
Julen Lopetegui wants to ‘solve the problem’ amid doubts over his Wolves future
Julen Lopetegui admits the uncertainly surrounding his future cannot be allowed to drag on. The former Real Madrid manager’s long-term future at Molineux has been in the spotlight. Financial fair play regulations will impact the club’s spending power this summer and Lopetegui has previously said he only discovered the constraints last week. He has been calling for investment since securing Premier League safety and the manager will continue to speak to chairman Jeff Shi about what backing he will receive – but knows there needs to be a quick resolution. He said: “I hope – we will see. “I want to solve the problems. Maybe me or the club aren’t able to solve them 100 per cent, but I think we have to try, for our fans, for our club, for our history and for our future. “If we want to be demanding in the future we have to demand now with ourselves and with this summer. “I have a contract and I’ve been here for six months. I’m very happy here and I hope I can continue being happy here. “But we have a problem and we must be honest and look each other in the eyes to try to solve the problems. “Maybe not 100 per cent, but maybe 80 per cent, who knows? “This is all. About my future, I have a contract and we will see what is going to happen, This is football, we don’t know. “We have to talk, it’s not about one or two days. We have to talk about the solution and the future to be able to have a squad ready to compete again. “This year has been a wake-up call. We have to learn why it has happened and to overcome and make our homework this summer. It’s not about one or two days. We need a clear picture. “It’s important to have the squad ready. Maybe not 100 per cent of players but maybe 90 per cent. For me it’s very important, to have the squad ready to start working with us on July 1.” Wolves to go Arsenal for Sunday’s Premier League finale and Joao Moutinho will not feature and is likely to have played his last game for the club as he is out of contract in the summer. Sasa Kalajdzic (knee) is out while Lopetegui himself is banned from the touchline for collecting four yellow cards. He added: “On Sunday we have an important match because it’s the last of the season. They have been very close to winning the Premier League and will want to make a good match in front of their fans. We have to be ready to compete with them.”

Nicki Minaj hopes the internet gets 'deleted' after seeing 'AI cloning conspiracy' of herself
Nicki Minaj hopes the internet gets 'deleted' after seeing 'AI cloning conspiracy' of herself
Nicki Minaj has hilariously called for the "whole internet" to be deleted after sharing a clip from ITV's Deep Fake Neighbour Wars. On Sunday (9 July), the 'Barbie Girl' rapper took to Twitter with a snippet from the show. The clip shows an AI version of Minaj and her 'husband,' Tom Holland. Upon arriving home from their honeymoon, they found an intruder in their living room, Mark Zuckerberg. It plays on an internet rumour that joked Minaj and Holland were dating and expecting a baby in 2019. At the time, the actor joked to Esquire: "This actually really stressed me out... and then I realised I've never met Nicki Minaj. So that was a big relief for me because I'm not ready to have kids." Fast-forward, and the ITV show is seemingly poking fun at the fake relationship using artificial intelligence – and Minaj is not happy. She wrote: "HELP!!! What in the AI shapeshifting cloning conspiracy theory is this?!?!! I hope the whole internet get deleted!!!" Meanwhile, fans were left in hysterics, with one writing: "I just know you was cracking up laughing." Some shared their concerns regarding deep fakes: "It’s crazy. All this computer s*** is going too far. Kinda scary honestly." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "LMAOOOOOOOO I’m surprised you're just seeing this," a third added about the show that was released earlier this year. Deep Fake Neighbour Wars certainly polarised social media. Some loved it. Others hated it. And more delved into the creepiness of artificial intelligence. "I thought this would be no good, but it's brilliant, and I heartily recommend it," one Twitter user wrote, adding: "Really, I'm a tough crowd as far as new comedy is concerned, and I found myself shouting with laughter quite often." F1 Fantasy: How to play in 2023 season and top tips for Austrian Grand Prix
F1 Fantasy: How to play in 2023 season and top tips for Austrian Grand Prix
The new Formula 1 season is here - and that means F1 Fantasy is back! The game will see millions of motor sport fans pick their fantasy selection of drivers for an imaginary $100m budget. FOLLOW LIVE: F1 qualifying updates and FP1 lap times in Austria F1 Fantasy began five years ago and it has grown rapidly in popularity, in line with F1’s rise in popularity. The 2023 season will reward those players who are able to spot the early trends as the new season takes shape. See below for all the rules and top tips: How to play F1 Fantasy 2023 Each player gets to pick five drivers and two constructors (up from one in 2022) ahead of the first race of the season in Bahrain, spending a budget of $100m. They also pick a weekly ‘DRS Boost’ whose points are doubled – and new for 2023, any driver in your team can be given the DRS boost. There are also chips available to power up your team, 6 in total: Autopilot, Extra DRS boost, No Negative, Wildcard, Limitless and Final Fix. Max Verstappen is the most expensive driver at $27.8m, with Lewis Hamilton second on $24.0m and Charles Leclerc on $21.2m. As for the Constructors, Red Bull are $27.9m, Mercedes $25.2m and Ferrari $22.2m. Players can make up to two transfers to their team per week, up until the start of qualifying. More than 2 transfers carries a 4 point penalty per additional transfer - similar to Fantasy Premier League. F1 Fantasy tips (pre-Monaco) Let’s not mess about: get Fernando Alonso on your team! The two-time world champion, for Aston Martin, who has finished third in four out of the five races, is still something of a steal at $9.4m. Elsewhere, Nico Hulkenberg is a cheap option at $3.8m while Lance Stroll is also not a bad bet at $7.6m. It’s still hard to look beyond picking Max Verstappen ($27.6m), but Carlos Sainz is not a bad bet for your second-most expensive driver - at $17.2m. Similarly, Aston Martin are an obvious Constructors option at this point at $7.0m alongside one of the big boys. The deadline to make changes to your team is Austrian GP qualifying at 4pm (BST) on Friday afternoon *** One key to success in Fantasy F1 is riding the price waves and increasing the value of your team. You can do this by identifying the best value picks each week, and also by buying and selling strategically - so buy a successful driver at the end of a race on Sunday and sell him on later the following week for a profit. It’s worth biding your time when it comes to making your final substitutions, however. Practice on Friday will generally reveal plenty about what go down in qualifying, so waiting as long as possible to soak up information will help in making the right decisions each week. Given the budgetary restrictions, and the fact that most players will have some combination of Hamilton, Verstappen, Mercedes or Red Bull, the area to get a jump on the rest is in the midfield pack. Will Ferrari toppple Red Bull? Can McLaren top the midfield? And what about Alpine? How does the scoring work?
