Rumer Willis says she is ‘grateful’ to her body following birth of daughter
Rumer Willis says she is “grateful” to her body “for all that it did and continues to do” following the birth of her daughter. The US actress, daughter of Hollywood stars Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, said her body was “softer and rounder and jiggly” but acknowledged she was still readjusting following the birth. Willis announced her daughter’s birth on Instagram in April, writing that Louetta Isley Thomas Willis was “pure magic”. In a new post on Instagram, she shared a nude photo of herself, captioning it: “This body of mine made a human from scratch. She is the love of my life. “This body of mine that I spent so many years trying to shape and mould into what I thought was desirable or made me feel good in clothes, is a little softer and rounder and jiggly and different and that’s ok, more than ok it’s kind of amazing because I grew a person inside of it. “This little being that I love with a fierceness and wonder that reaches new levels everyday.” She added: “I know my body is still readjusting, but whatever shape it ends up in I am just grateful for all that it did and continues to do. “In the ongoing process of transformation, I am grateful for every twist and turn. “The most profound beauty I’ve ever felt in myself emerges from remembering daily, to not reject these parts of me, but just embrace and give them such deep gratitude.” Willis announced the birth of her daughter with partner Derek Richard Thomas just over two months after it was revealed her father had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. The actor – who starred in hit films including the Die Hard series, Pulp Fiction, Armageddon, and Looper – has said that he will be “stepping away” from his successful career after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition affecting his cognitive abilities.

Doctor's warn of the psychological impact of peeing in the shower
A doctor has urged people to stop peeing in the shower as it could cause a slight problem in the future. Urogynaecologist Dr Teresa Irwin turned to her 91,000 TikTok followers to offer her expertise, where she claims that peeing while showering can trick your brain into thinking you need the toilet every time you hear running water. "You don't want to do it all the time because what happens is every time you hear the sound of water, your bladder is going to want to pee - because it's used to hearing the sound of the water in the shower," she told her viewers. "So whenever you're washing your hands, washing the dishes, your bladder is going to be salivating, so to speak, because it wants to go and pee." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter @dr.teresa.irwin I said what I said! Unless you're struggling with total bladder emptying you need to hear this #bladdertips #pft #obgyn It comes after another doctor reiterated Dr Teresa's claims on social media. Dr Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas, a Boston-based pelvic floor therapist, said: "If you pee while the water is running, then you're creating an association in your brain between the sound of running water and having to pee." She also went on to say that those born with female anatomy were not created "to pee standing up." Professor Ajay Rane, Townsville Hospital's Director of Urogynaecology and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at James Cook University said they had conducted research into the "most appropriate posture" for women sitting on the toilet. "The appropriate posture is to sit on the toilet with your feet flat on the ground," Prof. Rane said at the US 2004 Urogynaecology Society Meeting on 'The Perfect Pee' back in 2004. He also said that feet flat on the ground "promote relaxation of your thigh muscles and your pelvic muscles." Rane further added that elbows should be on the knees as people "lean forward as if you are reading a newspaper on the floor" which helps to empty "both your bowel and bladder."
