Christopher Nkunku has vowed to “give everything” for Chelsea after completing his move to Stamford Bridge. The France forward this week signed a six-year contract with the Blues as the club finalised his reported £63million switch from RB Leipzig. The 25-year-old had committed to moving to Stamford Bridge when he signed a pre-contract agreement last December. Chelsea will hope he can bolster an attack that scored only 38 goals in the Premier League last season. “We can say that I am a hard worker,” Nkunku told the club’s website, chelseafc.com. “I will give everything for the club, for the fans and to help the team bring some trophies, to give the best of my football. “I hope I will make them as happy as I am to be here at this club.” Nkunku scored 23 goals in 36 appearances for Leipzig in an injury-hit 2022-23 in which he was forced to miss the World Cup. Chelsea’s struggles in the second half of last season, when they limped to a 12th-placed finish, have not dampened his enthusiasm for the move. He said: “I think the project was good for me. It is a good project for me to develop myself as a player and a man also. “And this is a good city, after all, and for sure I want to improve in football and I want to win trophies and improve myself also.” Nkunku is the first new player to arrive at Chelsea since former Tottenham and Paris St Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as manager. The pair have not yet met. “I have not had a chance to speak to him, not yet,” said Nkunku, who began his career at PSG. “I spoke to some of my friends from Paris about him a little bit. I speak about him a little bit with some of the players. “They told me that he’s a very good coach and I’m excited to work with him.”

In a video on Instagram, influencer Mariah Fernando, who has more than 231,000 followers, said any man who uses the phrase “Go ahead and believe what you want” when confronted about being unfaithful probably has been. “If you’re confronting your man for cheating and he says [that], I hate to break it to you ladies, but that man is guilty. He is guilty,” she added. Commenting on her video, it's safe to say people were divided in their response. Some clearly didn't agree with her, with one writing: "No it doesn’t it means you’ve accused him so many times he doesn’t care anymore." "If you think someone is cheating just leave," advised another. "Don’t play games like you’re Sherlock Holmes. Usually the accuser is the guilty one anyway." And a third said: "So is a woman if she gives the same answer." OpenAI has announced that its viral artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT now has direct access to the internet. The update comes just days after ChatGPT was given the ability to “see, hear and speak” through new voice and image recognition tools, building on its generative AI tools to bring capabilities similar to virtual assistants like Amazon’s Alexa and Apple’s Siri. Prior to the latest update, ChatGPT’s knowledge base was limited to a data training set that ended in September 2021. “ChatGPT can now browse the internet to provide you with current and authoritative information, complete with direct links to sources,” OpenAI announced on Wednesday. “It is no longer limited to data before September 2021. Browsing is particularly useful for tasks that require up-to-date information, such as helping you with technical research, trying to choose a bike, or planning a vacation.” The web-connected version of ChatGPT is currently only available for paying ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Enterprise customers, but OpenAI said it has plans to expand it to non-paying users “soon”. OpenAI briefly added internet connectivity features for premium ChatGPT users in July, however it was shut off after people exploited it to get around paywalls. This issue appears to have been fixed, along with other ways to misuse the AI bot, through OpenAI’s evolving AI safety measures. The update was announced on the same day that Meta unveiled its own series of AI chatbots, which come with different personalities based on real people. Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg said at the company’s annual Meta Connect conference that the chatbots would be available through its applications Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. “This isn’t just going to be about answering queries,” he said. “This is about entertainment.” Other social media and messaging apps have also introduced AI chatbots to their platforms, including Snapchat’s My AI tool.
