A woman who went to TikTok bragging about throwing a drink in a guy’s face has been left embarrassed after the truth about what actually happened was revealed when the guy saw the clip. While TikTok can be a great place for sharing experiences, like when one woman recorded herself being bothered by men, it can also be a place for clout-chasing and misrepresenting the truth. One woman found that out recently when she posted a since-deleted clip, in which she claimed she had thrown her drink over a guy in a bar because he spilled his drink on her three times. But, while she may have thought the video was great content, the guy who she threw the drink over found the video and has since gone viral with his version of events that doesn’t exactly paint her in the best light. TikToker @tanmaybedi_, who goes by the name Tanmay, shared the video on his account, explaining that he was the guy who got the drink thrown at him. He captioned the video, “Not okay to throw a drink at someone and not take accountability for your actions.” @tanmaybedi_ Not okay to throw a drink at someone and not take accountability for your actions @Bink? #fyp #trending In the clip, he explained that he and his friends were relaxing at a bar when the woman and her friends came in and stood right next to them, despite the bar not being overly packed. Tanmay claimed the woman almost immediately turned around and accused the group of spilling a drink over her three times, despite her having just arrived at the venue. He continued: “My friend 'F' explains to the girl that his back was turned towards the girl, and my friend 'E' was totally on the other side, so without spilling on someone else, it would have been impossible to spill on this girl.” Next, he said his friend jokingly told the girl it was Tanmay, despite him having no drink in his hand. Tanmay explained: “Now, she does not think twice and grabs my friend’s drink, snatches it, takes the cup, empties the cup in my face and takes the cup and throws it on my face.” According the Tanmay, the girl also approached the bouncer, who appeared to be a friend of hers, who told the group of friends to leave the girl alone, despite them not having done anything. The clip has been viewed more than 4.4 million times, with people in the comments suggesting that Tanmay press charges for assault and expressing sympathy for what he went through. One TikToker wrote: “This guy seems like he would be the nicest guy at the bar.” “Isn't this technically assault?” asked someone else. Another person wrote: “Ask the bar for a videotape of the incident to press charges. Pharrell Williams showcased his debut collection for Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2024 at Paris’s Pont Neuf bridge on Tuesday (20 June). The star-studded show kicked off the 50-year-old record producer’s tenure as Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director. The show – themed “lovers” – consisted of “printed leather jerseys and rugbys, quilted denim, Mao-neck blazers and ghillie camo with LV logo cutouts.” In an interview before the show, Williams spoke about his role, which he has held since February 2023. “I’m the second Black man to ever experience this on the planet, the biggest fashion house in the world,” he said. “My brother Virgil [Abloh] was the first. “He made so many strides for the house and did so many things. He brought skate culture into this world – while being an American Black man. Anthony Joshua’s hopes of fighting Deontay Wilder in the next six months remain alive after Robert Helenius agreed to replace Dillian Whyte for Saturday’s bout at London’s O2 Arena. Matchroom confirmed on Tuesday morning that Helenius would step in for Whyte, who saw his hopes of avenging defeat to Joshua in 2015 ended last weekend after “adverse analytical findings” were detected in his doping test by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). Whyte has vowed to clear his name but knowledge of his failed test left Matchroom in a race against time to find a new opponent for Joshua, but 72 hours later and Helenius answered the SOS call, despite being in action in Finland last Saturday. Joshua was eager to still fight this weekend and Matchroom Sport chairman Eddie Hearn had revealed if no replacement could be arranged, it would have put the potential clash with Wilder in jeopardy. Talks continue to take place between the camps of Joshua and Wilder over a fight at the end of this year or in early 2024, but the British heavyweight must first overcome Helenius. Hearn told talkSPORT: “We all wanted to see the Dillian Whyte fight but at the same time Anthony Joshua has trained for 12 weeks, he wants to fight Deontay Wilder next and wants to fight on Saturday. “The other option honestly was to fight in October or November. “And we want to fight Deontay Wilder. We know December is unlikely but we’re still being told and we were told as recently as two, three days ago or whenever it was, that you will be fighting (in December). “If he doesn’t take this fight on Saturday, then he won’t fight Wilder in December or January because he’d end up fighting in October or November.” Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua hinted at his long-term goal being Wilder when he reflected on Helenius replacing Whyte. “This wasn’t in the script. I respect Helenius and, may I say, I respect any male or female who steps into the ring,” Joshua added. “I am laser-focused on the win. I can make steps forward to bigger and better things but the road map has a checkpoint – Saturday night. May the best man win.” Helenius said: “I am excited about fighting Anthony Joshua on 12 August. I am a true Viking that is willing to face any challenge at a moment’s notice. This is not an opportunity I was going to let slip away. I plan to make the most of it.” Stockholm-born Helenius (32-4, 21 KOs) is no stranger to the British boxing scene after he beat Derek Chisora in a contentious split decision to win the vacant European Championship title in 2011. The heavyweight with an orthodox style lost to Whyte on points six years later in Cardiff but only after he took the bout at two weeks’ notice. Whyte’s failed test saw Matchroom immediately cancel the planned domestic clash and opened the door for Helenius to secure another handsome payday in Britain. Hearn did express his shock at Whyte’s doping test result with the British boxer determined to prove his innocence, which was the case in 2019 after UK Anti-Doping concluded the levels in his sample were “very low” and he was ultimately not to blame, therefore clearing him of a doping violation. On Whyte, Hearn admitted: “I don’t represent Dillian so I can’t talk on his behalf. What I can say is I am surprised, I am in shock. “He’s had this Vada test and employed it meticulously over his career. I had an email from his team as early as this morning to say obviously there is a strict confidentiality on his behalf, not on my behalf and he has got a big fight on his hands. “We will let him go through that process and see how it ensues, but I was in big shock on Saturday when we found out about it. I was definitely surprised and he has a tough road ahead.” With Whyte set for a battle out of the ring, Helenius now looks ahead to the 37th fight of his career. The veteran has only fought three times since the coronavirus pandemic started in 2020, but an added element of intrigue to this clash is the fact Helenius was knocked out in the first round by Wilder last October. All eyes will now be on how Joshua performs against Helenius, 39, who enters this bout after his 32nd victory with Mika Mielonen stopped in the third round of their contest last Saturday. Lewis Hamilton admitted he has not been driving at his best for over a year after a poor start at the Hungarian Grand Prix allowed Max Verstappen to rack up a record-breaking victory. Verstappen gazumped pole-sitter Hamilton on the downhill run to the opening corner at the Hungaroring before racing off into the distance to score his seventh successive victory of this most one-sided of Formula One seasons. Hamilton finished only fourth after both McLaren drivers also moved ahead of him inside the first two bends of Sunday’s 70-lap race. Lando Norris was runner-up to Verstappen for the second consecutive race, 33.7 seconds behind the dominant Dutchman, while Sergio Perez fought back from ninth to third with Oscar Piastri crossing the line in fifth. Verstappen’s ninth win from the 11 rounds so far sees him move 110 points clear of Perez heading into next weekend’s concluding round before the summer break in Belgium. The Dutchman’s Red Bull team remain unbeaten this season, setting a new F1 record with their 12th consecutive win. For Hamilton, he is now 34 appearances without a victory – the longest streak of his career. “I have not been at my best for over a year,” said Hamilton who has not won since he was denied a record eighth world title at the concluding round in Abu Dhabi in 2021. Across the same period, Verstappen – the man who beat him to the title on that controversial night in the desert – has triumphed 24 times. But the seven-time world champion added: “I am not disappointed. It was obvious that we do not have the quickest car. Max got a better start than me, I got a bit of wheelspin, and I was a bit compromised after that. “I am really proud of myself and the job we did to get pole and outperform the world champion and the other two McLaren cars that are quicker than us. But today is just a reality check. The reality is that we are not fast enough. “I was told in the strategy meeting this morning that I would be five tenths a lap slower than the Red Bull so the fight is not with Max but hopefully that we would be able to fight the McLarens. But then the McLaren was also too quick for us.” Hamilton’s initial reaction to the lights turning green was fine enough, but he lacked traction in the next phase, with Verstappen moving alongside the Mercedes and then ahead under braking for the first corner. Forced wide by Verstappen, Hamilton then lost two further positions. First to Piastri at the same right-hander, before Norris also muscled his way ahead around the outside of the next bend. Hamilton had a nibble back at his countryman on the long run up to Turn 4 but Norris held firm. A contrite Hamilton was straight on the radio. “Sorry about that, guys,” he said. “Don’t sweat about it, Lewis,” came the reassuring response from Hamilton’s ever-upbeat race engineer, Peter Bonnington. As Verstappen did what Verstappen does and controlled the race to perfection, Hamilton appeared rattled.
