GOP lawmakers predict imminent ‘fistfight’ between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert
After an ongoing feud between Republican Reps Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, a Republican lawmaker said the standoff between the two Congress members could result in a fistfight. “A fistfight could break out at any moment,” Republican Tennessee Rep Tim Burchett told The Daily Beast. Mr Burchett told the publication that he was serious, and added he was enjoying the Republicans’ rivalry as a “professional wrestling fan.” He told the outlet, “I am friends with both of them. It’s entertaining to think that a fistfight could break out at any movement. I kind of dig that.” The Tennessee Republican isn’t alone in his stance. Another GOP lawmaker close to both Reps Greene and Boebert, who spoke anonymously, told the outlet: “You can’t have too many of these rifts for too long.” Arizona Republican Congressman Paul Gosar called the battle a “two-way sword” to The Daily Beast. He continued, “I just think that whatever is there, could be utilized both ways,” he said, adding that “people make decisions that they have to work and live by, and you kind of hate being in their shoes.” The conflict between the congresswomen came to a head recently when Ms Greene was kicked out of the Freedom Caucus after she called Ms Boebert “a little b****.” The Georgia Republican claimed last week that she didn’t know why she was booted from the Freedom Caucus. She dismissed the move, saying that she didn’t “have time for the drama club.” Read More Marjorie Taylor Greene says she didn’t know she was kicked out of the Freedom Caucus The Freedom Caucus booting Marjorie Taylor Greene looks worse for them than it does for her Marjorie Taylor Greene ousted from House Freedom Caucus following fight with Lauren Boebert

Why Trump's second indictment may not sink him in 2024
The evidence in the indictment against Donald Trump for his alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving office can seem "jaw-dropping". So just how will this new indictment play on the campaign trail? Let's just say we should be, at least initially, skeptical that Trump will be penalized in the polls.

My heart will always be here – Lucas Moura says goodbye to Tottenham
My heart will always be here – Lucas Moura says goodbye to Tottenham
Lucas Moura will leave Tottenham at the end of the season. The Brazilian forward has struggled for fitness and form this campaign with no goals in his 17 appearances. Moura missed a large chunk of the first half of the campaign with a tendon injury and since his return after the World Cup has been involved in several difficult moments for Spurs, being sent off in a 1-1 draw at Everton before his error resulted in Liverpool scoring a stoppage-time winner last month. Arguably his best moment in a Spurs shirt was when he netted a hat-trick in 2019 at Ajax that sent Tottenham through to a first Champions League final in the most dramatic fashion. Spurs have now confirmed this term will be Moura’s last and he will get the chance to bid farewell to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful in Saturday’s home match with Brentford. “Wherever I am, my heart will always be here. You are my club,” Moura said on Tottenham’s official Twitter feed. “It has been the greatest honour to defend this badge. Every flick, every tackle, every leap, every goal. “From the highest of highs to the lowest lows, from the beginning to the end, you sung my name. This has been my dream. “This will always be my home. Some nights we will never forget, writing history together. I will always love you no matter where I go. We will meet again.” Moura has scored 38 goals in 219 appearances since he moved to Tottenham in the winter transfer window of 2018. “We would like to thank Lucas for his tremendous service to our club and wish him the very best for the future,” an official club statement read. “We shall provide a further update on our wider released and retained player list following the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign.” Read More Charity boss speaks out over ‘traumatic’ encounter with royal aide Ukraine war’s heaviest fight rages in east - follow live
