Delivery driver yells 'f**k you' at customer over $5 tip
Delivery driver yells 'f**k you' at customer over $5 tip
A food delivery driver has caused a stir online after insulting a customer for their $5 (£3.90) tip. In a widely shared clip on TikTok, a man is seen delivering a pizza before making a snarky joke about the low tip. "I just wanna say, this is a nice house for a $5 tip," he says through the video doorbell, to which the customer sarcastically hits back: "You're welcome." The delivery driver made sure to squeeze in the last word, telling the takeaway customer "f*** you" and walking away. It didn't take long for the viral footage to cause a debate online, with some saying they felt like a $5 tip on a $20 order was acceptable. "I say 5$ is good since it was a 20$ order...seriously, what do they expect more than what the order is," one person wrote, as another chimed in: "Did he expect a 100 dollar tip on a 20 dollar order?" A third added: "It's her money. Y'all better be happy she even gave you a tip." The star has made a name for himself online, with his efforts to saving orphanages, rebuilding homes and "curing" blindness. In one recent clip on TikTok, MrBeast revealed that his latest act was to give a waitress a car rather than a cash tip after his meal. The waitress revealed that she had actually been late that very day due to her Uber being slow. @mrbeast MrBeast on TikTok While the waitress appeared happy and began to cry, she did also admit that she does not know how to drive. As MrBeast showed her the car outside, it was plastered with graphics advertising his new chocolate bar venture, Feastables. Have your say in our news democracy. Resurfaced clip shows Ashton Kutcher creeping on Hilary Duff and the Olsen Twins
Resurfaced clip shows Ashton Kutcher creeping on Hilary Duff and the Olsen Twins
A resurfaced clip appears to show actor Ashton Kutcher creepily talking about Hilary Duff and the Olsen twins when they were underage and fans feel weird about it. In the video, which was recorded in 2003 during an episode of his reality television series Punk'd, Kutcher suggested that everyone was 'waiting for Duff to turn 18', and therefore be of legal age. At the time, Duff was 15. Kutcher said: “Hilary Duff is in Lizzie McGuire. She also has an album out. She’s going to be in a movie called Cheaper By The Dozen. “And she’s one of the girls that we’re all waiting for to turn eighteen. Along with the Olsen twins.” Kutcher was referring to the actors Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who were also underage at the time. The clip was shared on X/Twitter along with the caption, “Ashton Kutcher is a slime ball” and has been viewed 21 million times. It comes as the 45-year-old actor made headlines recently after he and his wife, Mila Kunis, both penned individual letters in support of their former That ‘70s Show co-star Danny Masterson who was convicted of rape. On 7 September, Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of rape in May this year. Kutcher’s letter, dated 27 July, reportedly read: “Not only is [Masterson] a good friend to me I've witnessed him be a good friend to others and the kind of brother others would be lucky to have.” In an Instagram video, Kutcher and Kunis apologised for the hurt that their “character letters” had caused. The pair said: “The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system, or the validity of the jury’s ruling. They were intended for the judge to read and not undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatise them in any way. “We would never want to do that, and we’re sorry if that has taken place.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Daniel Ricciardo dreaming of Red Bull return ahead of F1 comeback
Daniel Ricciardo dreaming of Red Bull return ahead of F1 comeback
Daniel Ricciardo has admitted he is daring to dream about a return to Red Bull ahead of his Formula One comeback at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Ricciardo’s career looked to be all but over after he was dumped by McLaren following two underwhelming seasons with the British team. But the popular 34-year-old has been handed a second chance, replacing Nyck de Vries at Red Bull’s junior team AlphaTauri for the concluding dozen rounds of the year, starting at the Hungaroring on Sunday. Ricciardo impressed during a test at Silverstone for Red Bull last Tuesday, and given Sergio Perez’s torrid run of form – which has seen him fall 99 points adrift of team-mate Max Verstappen – AlphaTauri’s move to hire the Australian will fuel speculation that he could land a return to the team which carried him to seven of his eight victories. And speaking at the world champions’ packed motorhome on Thursday, Ricciardo said: “The dream is a Red Bull seat, but there is no ‘this is what you need to do’ to achieve that. “Given what has happened over the past few years and taking time off, I knew it would be hard to get back in at the top. “Of course that was my wish, but you need to be realistic, and if I want to get back into Red Bull it will be a process, and this is the best path for me at the moment. “You know what they are like here. They are not telling me to take it easy, they want me to show them what I have got, but there is no criteria. “And in terms of expectations there are none. I want to be in the moment, enjoying it, and not thinking too far ahead.” Ricciardo’s reputation in the sport is on the line following his poor period with McLaren which saw the British team move to cancel his contract. Ricciardo failed to land a seat for the 2023 campaign and instead elected to return to Red Bull as a reserve driver. But he might struggle to impress with a team rooted to the foot of the constructors’ table, taking just two points from the first 10 races. However, Ricciardo added: “Over the past few years, I started falling into a trap where I believed the car does not suit me and you can be your own worst enemy. I know this car will have limitations but I will work with that. “Getting this opportunity is a chance to make things better. That is why I am excited to get back behind the wheel and show my true self. “I had enough time off to reset and also enjoy it again. Six months ago, I wasn’t at a place to jump at an opportunity like this but that has been the luxury of time. “I have fallen in love with it again and I feel myself in an environment that provides me with a lot of nostalgia, so when the opportunity came along it was like, ‘let’s try it’.” Read More Charity boss speaks out over ‘traumatic’ encounter with royal aide Ukraine war’s heaviest fight rages in east - follow live How does Max Verstappen and Red Bull compare to the greats of Formula One? Nick Cannon candidly admits Mariah Carey saved his life amid lupus diagnosis
Nick Cannon candidly admits Mariah Carey saved his life amid lupus diagnosis
Nick Cannon has revealed the appreciation he has for ex-wife Mariah Carey during a difficult time. In a recent interview on the Diary Of A CEO podcast, the father of 12 wasn’t afraid to confess that he wouldn’t have survived his 2012 lupus diagnosis if it wasn’t for the “Without You” singer by his side. “She was my rock,” he admitted. “She went hard. To be honest, I probably wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for how hard she went with the doctors, with me, my stubbornness.” The Grammy winner, 54 and the former America’s Got Talent host, 42, saw sparks flying almost immediately when Carey cast Cannon as her love interest in the 2008 “Bye Bye” music video. It only took six weeks from the time they got engaged for Carey and Cannon to tie the knot. In 2011, they welcomed fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe. Unfortunately, Cannon was diagnosed with lupus one year later - an inflammatory disease which occurs when the immune system attacks its own tissues. The Masked Singer host described Carey as “the perfect helpmate, the perfect matriarch, the perfect mom, the perfect wife” during this time. “It probably took a toll on us just because of the person I was in my head and the struggles that I was dealing with,” he continued. “But it definitely brought us closer together.” When podcast host Steven Bartlett asked whether Cannon believed Carey “saved his life”, he simply responded: “I absolutely do.” “But that’s what you do when you find a helpmate. When you find someone that you’re in matrimony with, you go hard for [them],” Cannon pointed out. “I feel like I went hard for her and we’ll still go hard - I lay down my life for her today. That’s what you do, it’s just family.” Cannon went on to explain how his experience with the disease put many things into perspective for him. However, it wasn’t easy for him to see things clearly while he was struggling. In fact, he told Bartlett that he was also dealing with mental health issues at the time, such as questioning his purpose and effect on the world. “Staring up from the hospital bed, staring at the ceiling all alone when everybody else is kicked out, and you gotta be face to face with your higher power, asking all those tough questions. Am I done?” he explained. “A lot of people don’t do that because we get caught up in the constant race of just living day to day, but it slowed down for me on many occasions.” While it may have been difficult for him to comprehend at the time, Cannon said he now lives his days with direction and without fear. “I’m probably reminded of my physical mortality all the time,” he noted. “And when you’re not afraid of dying, you focus on living, you know?” This isn’t the first time the TV personality has praised the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer. In 2022, Cannon opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the gratitude he has for his time spent with Carey. “I was talking about the fantasy of it all. I was like: ‘Yo, if I could have that same vibe of where I was at that state in my life and that age, of course I would do that all over again,’” he said. “But I’m not.” In addition to his two children with Carey, Cannon has welcomed Rise, Powerful, and Golden, with Brittany Bell; Zion, Zillion, and Beautiful with Abby De La Rosa; Halo with Alyssa Scott; Legendary with Bre Tiesi; and Onyx with LaNisha Cole. Cannon and Scott lost their baby boy, Zen, to cancer in 2021 when he was only five months old.
