McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Delta among dozens of websites down after Amazon Web Services cloud crashes
McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Delta were among dozens of websites that went down after Amazon’s cloud computing unit Amazon Web Services crashed. The outage, which took place on Wednesday afternoon according to DownDetector, also impacted The Associated Press as they tried to cover the criminal arraignment of former president Donald Trump. Amazon said that the cause of the issue was linked to a function called AWS Lambda, which allows customers to run code for different types of applications. Amazon said it was experiencing multiple error rates for multiple AWS services in an availability zone based in Northern Virginia, reported CBS News. The AWS Health Dashboard stated that issues in the US-East-1 region started at around 3pm ET. “Many AWS services are now fully recovered and marked Resolved on this event. We are continuing to work to fully recover all services,” the company posted at 5pm ET. Bastoni at the back with Martinez in attack – Inter Milan’s key players
Bastoni at the back with Martinez in attack – Inter Milan’s key players
Inter Milan stand in Manchester City’s way of the treble when they meet in the Champions League final in Istanbul on Saturday. Here, the PA news agency looks at the key players for the Italians. Lautaro Martinez Argentina’s World Cup winner has 30 goals in a staggering 67 games for club and country this season – 21 in 27 Serie A starts. A signing from Racing Club in 2018, Martinez has 79 goals in just 127 league starts for Inter. Two goals in the 2-1 Coppa Italia final win against Fiorentina last month underlined his ability for the big occasion. Edin Dzeko What price for the former City striker to deny them the treble? Dzeko scored the ‘other’ stoppage time goal in their famous 3-2 win over QPR to clinch the Premier League title in 2012. Dzeko netted the crucial opener in their semi-final first leg against AC Milan and bagged nine goals from 18 Serie A starts this term – along with five in Inter’s run to Saturday’s final. Nicolo Barella Part of the squad who lost the 2020 Europa League final to Sevilla, the midfielder has gone from strength to strength since joining from Cagliari in 2019. Barella is a relentless box-to-box player who won Serie A’s midfielder of the season award this term. He will be charged with breaking up City’s attacks and crucial in stopping the supply line to Erling Haaland. Alessandro Bastoni Another player with over 50 appearances for Inter this season. A 2017 signing for £30million, Bastoni has become an integral part of the Inter and Italy defence, being part of the Euro 2020-winning squad. He has 44 ball recoveries in 11 matches with a passing accuracy over 86 per cent in the competition and will need to be at his best to stop Haaland. Andre Onana In his first season at Inter after last summer’s move from Ajax, the goalkeeper has slowly established himself as number one. Samir Handanovic started the season in goal and Onana had to wait until October for his first league appearance. He has shared duties with Handanovic in the league and Coppa Italia during the run-in – as Inter finished third in Serie A – but will be expected to start on Saturday.

Harry Maguire looking set to remain with Manchester United
Harry Maguire looking set to remain with Manchester United
Former Manchester United captain Harry Maguire will not be moving to West Ham as it stands, the PA news agency understands. The 30-year-old centre-back became the most expensive defender in history when joining the Old Trafford giants from Leicester for £80million in 2019. Maguire was swiftly handed the captain’s armband, but a lack of form and game time led Erik ten Hag to last month name Bruno Fernandes as United’s new skipper. West Ham’s initial £20m bid for the England international was rejected before an improved offer in the region of £30m was accepted by the Red Devils last week. But the Hammers began looking at other potential options after the move stalled and it is now believed Maguire will be staying put. A source close to the player said he feels settled at United, remains confident of game time this season and did not speak to West Ham boss David Moyes during the process. Maguire was an unused substitute on Monday as United beat Wolves 1-0 – ahead of which Ten Hag indicated he had a future at the club if he fought for it. The fact United would have to find a replacement centre-back at this stage of the window is another consideration.

Manchester City vs Real Madrid line-ups: Team news ahead of Champions League semi-final
Manchester City vs Real Madrid line-ups: Team news ahead of Champions League semi-final
A 1-1 first leg draw leaves the Champions League semi-final between Manchester City and Real Madrid finely poised. An enthralling first 90 minutes in the tie saw the visitors have more of the ball in the Spanish capital, but struggle to consistently trouble Thibaut Courtois. Kevin De Bruyne’s fine strike did ensure that Pep Guardiola’s side exited the Bernabeu level after Vinicius Jr.’s equally well-taken goal had put Madrid ahead, and Manchester City will hope their home crowd can give them a boost. And having exited the competition at the same stage against the same opposition last year, Guardiola will be keen for his side to offer greater attacking threat as he chases three trophies to close the season. Here’s everything you need to know. When is Manchester City vs Real Madrid? Manchester City vs Real Madrid is due to kick off at 8pm BST on Wednesday 17 May at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. How can I watch it? Viewers in the United Kingdom will be able to watch the second leg live on BT Sport 1, with coverage on the channel from 7pm BST. Subscribers can stream the action via the BT Sport app or online player. Team news Nathan Ake could be back in contention for Manchester City, with the versatile defender nearing a return from his hamstring issue. Rodri is also thought not to be a concern, with his withdrawal against Everton precautionary. The weekend brought mixed fitness news for Carlo Ancelotti, with Eduardo Camavinga limping off in a fixture against Getafe that marked Ferland Mendy’s return from injury. Ancelotti does have Eder Militao back from suspension, which could prompt a reshuffle - if Camavinga is fit, reports in Spain suggest that he could be pushed into midfield with Fede Valverde utilised in the front three. Predicted line-ups Manchester City XI: Ederson; Walker, Rúben Dias, Akanji; Stones, Rodri; Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, GündoÄŸan, Grealish; Haaland. Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Militão, Rüdiger, Alaba; Modrić, Kroos, Camavinga; Valverde, Benzema, Vinícius Jr. Odds Manchester City win 5/8 Draw 18/5 Real Madrid win 9/2 Prediction Manchester City couldn’t quite convert their comfort in possession into clearcut chances in the first leg, and Real Madrid will be hopeful of again frustrating their opponents. But Erling Haaland and co.’s scoring might may eventually tell. Manchester City 3-2 Real Madrid (4-3 agg.)
