Streamer iShowSpeed has opened up about the health crisis that saw him rushed to hospital, saying that he “almost died”. The influencer was in hospital for weeks after being taken to a Japanese hospital in July for a sinus infection which caused a "deadly headache”. The influencer, real name Darren Watkins Jr, previously posted footage of himself with one eye closed and the other severely swollen. His followers have been showing support for the 18-year-old, with fans previously arriving outside of his hospital in Tokyo. Now, speaking in a new stream, iShowSpeed talked about the extent of the pain he was experiencing at the time. It was that freaking bad, bro.” hes ALIVE! www.youtube.com He went on to say that he underwent a spinal tap procedure and said his headaches were like being “stabbed” behind the eye. “I literally had the worst-ever sinus infection,” he added. “It got super, super bad. And the sinus infection was causing cluster headaches… I pray none of y’all in the chat experience a cluster headache. It feels like somebody has a knife with your eye and are stabbing it from the back of your eye.” He added: “That’s the one that almost killed me. England defender Lucy Bronze has appeared to have left Fifa president Gianni Infantino hanging when collecting her second-place medal at the Women's World Cup Final. The Lionesses came up short on Sunday, losing 1-0 to an impressive Spain side in Sydney in a game that proved to be a step too far for a brave England team. There were a few things for England fans to be proud of including a fantastic penalty save by Mary Earps, who went viral following her reaction. Elsewhere, it depends on how you feel about Fifa and their controversial president Infantino, but Bronze appeared to give the 53-year-old from Switzerland a rather meek handshake. When Bronze collected her medal, Infantino extended his hand for a shake but Bronze looked less than interested and instead gave a less than enthusiastic response to him. In the build-up to the final, Infantino was criticised for his comments on the women's game. He said: "And I say to all the women - and you know I have four daughters, so I have a few at home - I say to all the women, that you have the power to change. "Pick the right battles. Pick the right fights. You have the power to change. You have the power to convince us men what we have to do and what we don’t have to do. You do it. Just do it. “With men, with Fifa, you will find open doors. Just push the doors. They are open. And do it also at national level, in every country, at continental level, in every confederation. Just keep pushing, keep the momentum, keep dreaming, and let’s really go for a full equality.” Fans quickly drew a connection between the two moments and were full of praise for Bronze, regardless of why she didn't give Infantino a full on handshake. Max Verstappen has won the 2023 F1 world championship after Sergio Perez crashed in the sprint race at the Qatar Grand Prix on Saturday night. Red Bull driver Verstappen, 26, has won an astonishing 13 out of 16 races this season as well as two of the four sprint races, which includes a memorable 12-race (including sprints) win streak from Miami in May to Italy in September. Needing to only finish in the top-six to seal the title in the shortened 100km dash at the Lusail International Circuit on Saturday night, Verstappen now cannot be caught by second-placed team-mate Sergio Perez with six races and two sprints to go, after Perez crashed in the sprint. After sealing the long-awaited title, the Dutchman becomes just the fifth man in the sport’s 73-year history to win three championships on the spin. He also becomes the first driver in 40 years to win the championship on a Saturday. Since winning the opening race in Bahrain, Verstappen has been borderline unstoppable. While Perez triumphed in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan – either side of Verstappen winning in Australia – the Dutchman displayed a statement of intent by winning from ninth on the grid in Miami in May. From that moment on, the 26-year-old was unstoppable, storming to a startling 10 victories on the spin, breaking Sebastian Vettel’s record of nine consecutive victories from 2013. Highlights include a terrific pole-snatching qualifying session in Monaco, denying Fernando Alonso, as well as impressive drives to first in Montreal, Austria and Budapest. He also tasted victory at July’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone – a race he had not previously won. And while his win streak ended surprisingly with a weekend to forget in Singapore last month, Verstappen soon returned to form a week later with a simple lights-to-flag win in Japan.
