Did Donald Trump release a rap song about being arrested?
A rap song "by Donald Trump" is making waves across social media following his arrest in Georgia last Thursday (24 August). The former president was arrested on 13 counts but adamantly denies any wrongdoing. Now, a song titled 'First Day Out' by 'Trump The Don' has racked up millions of views in a matter of days. The lyrics rap: "These DA's acting silly, my mugshot is worth a billi, sold some merch and made a milli" and "Call me racist? But these rappers riding with me, they my soldiers, MAGA, MAGA, MAGA." The track has reached almost three million views, with many being fans of the beat. One wrote: "I respect the flow! What’s a link to your real music?" Another added, "Bro this goes hard," while a third tweeted: "That’s a pretty catchy tune." "I stay out of politics but I’m not gone lie! Trump got bars," another penned. Unsurprisingly, the song is not from Trump himself. It was created by Hi-Rez The Rapper, who said he made the AI song "an absolute joke in 30 minutes." "A song I made as an absolute joke in 30 minutes now has millions of views, streams, and thousands of sales," he wrote. "We're bringing people together through comedy, music, culture, & politics. They want us divided and living in fear! We're taking back Hollywood, entertainment & the culture." In a follow up tweet, he wrote: "Btw, I will be releasing my real music in coming weeks hahaha I am just having too much fun with this sh**. Don't care who unfollows or hates it tbh I am having a blast lol!" Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Jarrod Bowen: From Hereford and Hull to West Ham’s humble European hero
It has been quite a few weeks for Jarrod Bowen – the family man and England international who welcomed twin daughters into the world last month before delivering Europa League Conference success for West Ham. Described by his first boss as a “manager’s dream”, Bowen’s last-minute winner in a closely-fought final against Fiorentina on Wednesday night provided an unforgettable end to West Ham’s 43-year wait for a major trophy. The 26-year-old, whose partner is reality TV star Dani Dyer, has a down-to-earth demeanour which has seen him become a firm favourite among team-mates and the club’s supporters since he relocated to London in 2020. “The best moment of my career” was how Bowen summed up the 90th minute at Prague’s Fortuna Arena when he latched on to a through-ball and beat the press to run in on goal and finish coolly to clinch a 2-1 victory and get manager David Moyes dancing. Exactly a year earlier, the former Hereford and Hull player had come off the bench for England in their Nations League draw away to Germany. It was his second cap in a number of days following a first international call-up after a fine season for the Hammers. The World Cup was in sight for a man who had never been capped at any age-group level, but it was not to be, another career setback that Bowen would use as fuel to keep moving forward. “I am disappointed I didn’t go to the World Cup, but three years ago I was playing for Hull City in the Championship. You have to look at it in different ways,” he said after missing the cut for Qatar. “It’s about your mindset and the person you are to keep going and know what you can do. It’s just been about keeping going, never hide from it, never slump and keep always looking forward.” Bowen featured in every Premier League game for West Ham this season, struggling, as much of the team did, in the early stages of the campaign. But this is a forward fired up by unsuccessful trials at Aston Villa and Cardiff, determined to prove he is still worth being in the conversation when Gareth Southgate and Steve Holland pick their next England squad. Peter Beadle worked with Bowen in the Hereford academy and took him along for the ride when he was appointed manager of the first team. Bowen’s rise to European trophy success will not have come as a shock to his old boss. “He’s done nothing but go from strength to strength since and I’m not surprised one bit,” he told West Ham’s website when Bowen completed his move to the London Stadium in 2020. “He’s a very humble human being. He comes from a very strong footballing background with his dad and he’s had a great upbringing. He’s honest and hard-working – a manager’s dream really.” Last month Bowen announced the arrival of twin daughters with his partner Dyer, whose actor father Danny Dyer would have been just as jubilant when he saw Bowen run through on Wednesday night to win a trophy for his beloved Hammers. Bowen is one of the most popular members of the West Ham dressing room but one of its quieter players. However, actions spoke far louder than words when he tucked home past Pietro Terracciano to secure his place as a West Ham hero. Should you swap your foundation for a lightweight skin tint?
If you’re looking to streamline your morning beauty routine and create a beautiful your-skin-but-better base, a skin tint might be the answer to your prayers. Part of the new wave of hybrid make-up heroes, these lightweight complexion perfectors are similar to BB creams or tinted moisturisers, but come with added skincare benefits. “A skin tint is aimed at evening skin tone and adding hydration rather than helping to hide imperfections,” says Samantha Kendrew, head of education for Mii Cosmetics. Unlike full-coverage foundation, skin tints are “usually of a much lighter consistency, feel almost weightless when applied to the skin and give sheer coverage”. Make-up with benefits Infused with hydrating ingredients, these fluid formulas glide on easily and some contain sunscreen – depending on your skin type, you might not even need moisturiser underneath. “A skin tint is a great choice if you’re looking for a lighter product to give you a dewy glow,” says Kendrew. “They are also buildable, so you can create a fuller coverage if you choose to.” Thanks to a flood of new launches, skin tints are blowing up on TikTok, with beauty influencers raving about their glow-giving effects. “The ‘no make-up make-up’ trend is hugely popular and a skin tint is a good way to achieve this look,” Kendrew explains. They are part of the “trend towards enhanced versions of our natural skin as they are so sheer – it gives a barely-there hint of colour so your skin can look its healthiest”. Dab and blend The best way to apply a skin tint is using your fingers and after completing your usual skincare routine – just make sure to wash your hands first. “Apply a small amount of product onto your fingertips – remember you can go in with more and build the coverage as needed,” Kendrew advises. “Dab the product in small dots on your forehead, cheeks and chin, and blend in circular motions. It’s always worth waiting a few minutes before getting dressed to allow the skin tint to dry completely.” For a super-quick everyday make-up look, simply add mascara and lip balm, or go glam with a few extra steps. “You can use concealer with a skin tint to help hide any blemishes or imperfections,” Kendrew says. “You can also use a brightening concealer under the eyes if you need a little more coverage here to disguise dark circles.” Add definition to your cheekbones with bronzer or a pop of colour with a warm-toned blusher. “You want to work with textures that enhance each other,” Kendrew recommends. “Cream blushers and bronzers are great as they help to enhance that dewy finish rather than a powder formula which can be mattifying.” Here are five of the best new skin tints to try now… Sculpted by Aimee HydraTint Moisturising Tinted Serum, £23 Formulated with moisture-giving ceramides and hyaluronic acid plus soothing centella asiatica water, this serum delivers silky, sheer coverage. Mii Skin Secret Cream Tint SPF25, £24 Combining high-factor sunscreen with encapsulated pigments, this vitamin E and white tea extract-infused tint blends out to create a glowy, radiant finish, and comes in four versatile shades. Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint, £49 With hyaluronic acid and squalane (big hitters in the hydration stakes), this non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t block pores) and vegan skin tint comes in 18 shades. Delilah Wake Up Radiant Skin Tint, £39 Ideal if you want to add some warmth to your complexion, this tint comes in four shades (opal, amber, bronze and solar) for dewy, sun-kissed skin all year round. Ciaté Dewy Skin Tint, £29 A cult favourite that’s back after a hiatus, this ultra-dewy formula is what you need to get the coveted ‘glass skin’ glow. Available in 10 shades, it contains vitamin C and hyaluronic acid plus antioxidant-rich yuzu and dragon fruit extracts.
