Football rumours: Premier League clubs scramble for Kylian Mbappe
What the papers say A host of clubs have been linked with Kylian Mbappe after Paris St Germain gave permission for the French superstar striker to negotiate with Saudi team Al Hilal, who have made a world-record bid of £259million for his services. According to various publications, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Inter Milan and Barcelona have reportedly made contact with PSG about the 24-year-old. United have opened up their scope for a striker, according to the Daily Mail, and they are set to make a formal bid to Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund this week. The Times says they are willing to pay £60m for the 20-year-old Denmark international, while Atalanta are asking for £86.5m. United are also interested in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani and Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus, according to the Mirror. The Independent says if Mbappe leaves PSG, the French giants could then meet Tottenham’s £100million asking price for England striker Harry Kane. The race for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has reportedly narrowed down to two clubs, with Tottenham and West Ham best placed to sign the 23-year-old, the Evening Standard says. Right-wing commentator complains 'woke' video game's female main character is 'unattractive'
Right-wing commentator complains 'woke' video game's female main character is 'unattractive'
A right-wing commentator has complained that the main female character in a new video game is “unattractive” and blamed it on “woke” feminists. Fable is a series of action role-playing video games and a trailer for its newest release premiered on Monday (June 12). The trailer featured The IT Crowd actor Richard Ayoade starring as a veggie-growing giant named Dave, who looks set to play a starring role. But for right-winger Ian Miles Cheong it was the unnamed female main character that caught his eye for being “weirdly unattractive”. In a tweet, Cheong claimed there’s a current trend in video games where the female characters are intentionally made to be ugly and suggested it’s all down to “woke intersectional feminists”. Sharing a screenshot of the Fable character, he wrote: “This is the main character of the new Fable game from Microsoft. “Continuing the trend of weirdly unattractive female main characters in video games, because beauty is objectifying. This is what happens when you consult with woke intersectional feminists.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter It didn’t take long for other people to completely ridicule and mock Cheong’s comments. One person joked: “(Seeing a video game character I don’t want to have hot steamy sex with) Western civilization has fallen.” Another pointed out: “Hi Ian, pro tip: you are not required to be sexually attracted to video game characters for the game to be fun. Hope this helps!” It’s not the first time Cheong has drawn criticism for his comments as he was previously absolutely annihilated by a history expert after claiming that the Nazis were “socialist”. Island Boys rapper Flyysoulja comes out as gay weeks after kissing his brother
Island Boys rapper Flyysoulja has come out as gay after sparking backlash for sharing a video of him kissing his brother. According to Dexerto, the viral star turned to TikTok Live where he said: "I’m a top, I’m never a bottom, I’m a top you understand what I’m saying?" "I’m like that, for real. You gotta support me because you feel me: I like men and it is what it is. I’m a top, but I’m a top at the end of the day that’s just what’s going on." "You guys support me, because you feel me," he continued. "I like men. It is what it is. I’m a top. I’m a top at the end of the day. That’s what’s going on." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter It comes after the pair shared a disturbing clip of them kissing last month, to mark the arrival of their OnlyFans account. One person on Twitter wrote: "They need to tell these new gens this shit is not normal," while another added: "Did I just see the island boys making out with each other? Ain’t they brothers?" A third added: "They're biological brothers wtf? This is what happens when you sell your soul to the devil." Many people slammed the content for being "incest," comments Flyysoulja denied to TMZ. "We’re both straight males and kissing is not counted as a sexual act," he reportedly told the outlet weeks ago. Kodiyakredd (Franky Venegas) and Flyysoulja (Alex Venegas) first went viral in 2021 for their catchy 'I'm an Island Boy' TikTok song. The twins have had a string of celebrity feuds since, with the likes of Adam22 and Blueface. Have your say in our news democracy.
