Kaoru Mitoma’s superb solo effort and Solly March’s second-half double helped lift Brighton top of the Premier League table after an impressive 4-1 win at Wolves. Japan midfielder Mitoma’s mesmeric run and finish gave Brighton a slender half-time lead before Roberto De Zerbi’s side put Wolves to the sword with three goals in nine minutes at the start of the second half. Wolves were made to pay inside 60 seconds of the restart as Brighton extended their lead and then put the game to bed with two more strikes, all within the space of nine minutes. Estupinan tucked home the visitors’ second, stepping on to Mitoma’s cut-back after Danny Welbeck’s fierce drive had been parried by Sa. March then slammed home his first as he charged on to Enciso’s lovely weighted ball inside the penalty area to make it 3-0 in the 51st minute and that became 4-0, just four minutes later. A woman was mortified to learn her cocktail cost a staggering £2,000 in a London hotel bar, forcing her husband to walk out. Lynsey took to TikTok to recall the "cringe" encounter saying she ordered a cocktail called the '18 90'. The woman assumed the cost was £18.90 due to the design of the menu, not £1,890. "When I discovered the cocktail I had ordered was £2,000, I showed my husband the receipt and he was furious at me," she said. "So he left the bar. Left me on my own to deal with it. And I said to the young guy behind the bar, ‘look I’m so sorry, I had no idea it was £1,890." She later confirmed in the comments that the cocktail contained Cristal Champagne, a sprinkled gold leaf and 30-year-old whisky. "A similar thing happened to us. My dad thought he was being funny and ordered the iron bru 1901 the waitress had no idea what that was and assumed it was 1 whiskey. This was a top-shelf whiskey that cost £££. My dad doesn’t even like whiskey," one person wrote. Another said: "The issue is with the menu, the design and the print. If it’s not clear then you could contest it." Meanwhile, a third added: "What scares me more than this situation is the behaviour of your husband, who left you alone in such a situation. I’m so sorry for You…" After being inundated with questions from fellow TikTokers, Lynsey returned with a follow-up video. She explained that the manager told her not to worry about it, as Lynsey tried to enjoy the remaining four days of her trip. "My nerves were absolutely wrecked – if they asked me to pay for this cocktail, which I didn’t even enjoy because it was whisky based and I don’t like whisky – so I avoided the bar like the plague," she said. @lynsey_36 Replying to @Caroline? He told her the bartender had been sacked, to which Lynsey broke down and offered to pay the bill as it wasn't worth firing someone over. Millions of phones, TVs and radios across the US will receive an alert on Wednesday as part of a nationwide test for an emergency alert system. At 2.20pm ET, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will test the Emergency Alert System for TV and radio sets, and the Wireless Emergency Alerts for phones. “These test alerts are necessary to verify that the system is working properly so that, in a real case, citizens will know what to do, depending on the information that is issued,” said Nino Correa Filomeno, the commissioner of the Puerto Rico Emergency Management Bureau, who will coordinate with FEMA for the tests. “Amid this hurricane season, and any time an emergency occurs, it is necessary to have this system in place.” It is the seventh test for the system since FEMA set it up, however there are already conspiracy theories spreading online about its actual purpose. One false theory is that the signal is being sent to activate nanoparticles that have been introduced to people’s bodies, with one widely shared claim suggesting that it relates to the Covid-19 vaccine. Some users on X, formerly Twitter, advised people to shut off their phones in order to avoid receiving the alert. One user wrote: “Recommendations include not only disabling all alerts but also removing the sim card and shutting down your phone completely, possibly putting in a faraday bag if you have one.” Any smartphone that is switched on and within range of a cell tower will receive the emergency alert test message, which will be accompanied by a “unique tone” and vibration to make sure it is seen, heard or felt by as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. The radio and television portion of the test is being conducted with the participation of broadcasters, satellite providers and cable systems. “We want to ensure that the systems continue to be effective, that the public understands and uses these alerts and warnings about emergencies, particularly those on the national level, as we work to strengthen emergency readiness among our communities,” said Orlando Olivera, a coordinator at FEMA’s Caribbean office in Puerto Rico. “This is one step to be ready for emergencies.
