Tennis star Andrey Rublev has been compared to the ancient Greek god Zeus after winning a lightning bolt trophy. The Russian tennis player earned the incredible prize after winning the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) event in Frankfurt, Germany. It was the player’s debut appearance on the UTS Tour and he clinched victory over Bulgarian tennis pro Grigor Dimitrov in the final. The UTS Tour event sees tennis played in a different format from the ATP Tour. In the event, matches are played in eight-minute quarters, players get one serve only and there are just 15 seconds given between points. Rublev came out on top in the final of the eight-man event, beating his opponent and close friend Dimitrov 14-13, 12-17, 11-10, 17-16. To reward him for his win, Rublev was handed a huge lightning bolt-shaped trophy that had people comparing him to the sky and thunder god of ancient Greece, Zeus. One tennis-themed X/Twitter account wrote: “Andrey Rublev looks so natural holding a lightning bolt in his hand. “UTS Frankfurt Champion. King of lightning & thunder.” Another fan commented: “Zeus.” One person merged the two names together, coming up with: “Andrey Zeusblev.” “He looks like a Nordic God here, so mighty,” wrote another admirer. A post on Twitter that appeared to show a scan of a butt plug that caused “major injuries” lodged high up in someone’s body as a result of an MRI scan has gone viral, undoubtedly making many people clench in the process. In the post by Twitter user @BradiusZero, he explained why you should “Never wear a butt plug to your MRI appointment” and shared an image of a scan that appeared to show a butt plug lodged in a person's chest cavity. Alonside the image, a separate text message read: “Greatest personal injury case I've ever heard. An estimated Valley attorney, has picked up a client who is suing a sex toy company. Said client purchased a butt plug that was advertised as ‘100 percent silicone’. Client wears butt plug to MRI appointment. “Much to client's dismay, butt plug in fact has a metallic core. Butt plug is accelerated at the speed of sound…into client's chest cavity. Described in memo as an ‘anal rail gun’. Client survived with major injuries.” The post has been viewed 10.8 million times with many speculating on what was going on there. Federal prosecutors and attorneys for President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, are at loggerheads and appear to have scrapped a deal for the lawyer and lobbyist turned artist to plead guilty to tax misdemeanour charges and enter into a diversion programme on a gun-related charge after the judge overseeing a plea hearing questioned whether the deal would preclude the government from pursuing other charges against him. US District Judge Maryellen Noreika ordered Mr Biden’s lawyers and prosecutors to confer further after Mr Biden said he would not accept the agreement if it did not provide that the government could not charge him for any crimes currently known to prosecutors if he successfully completes the terms of the deal. Prosecutors had agreed to ask Judge Noreika to impose a term of probation on Mr Biden for not having paid taxes on time in 2017 and 2018. Mr Biden was also expected to enter into a diversion deal under which he’d plead guilty to charges that he’d lied on a gun background check form when he said he wasn’t a user of drugs when he bought a pistol during that same time period, but would withdraw the plea after completing the terms of the diversion agreement, which often requires community service and continued sobriety verified by drug tests. During the court hearing, he told Judge Noreika that he’d been sober since 2019 but had been in and out of drug treatment for roughly two decades. The sticking point in the proceedings appeared when the judge asked prosecutors and defence counsel whether they understood the hearing to conclude any criminal proceedings against Mr Biden, and when prosecutors said that was not their understanding, she ordered prosecutors and defence counsel for the president’s son to confer on whether they still have an agreement.
