Raven-Symoné had ‘two breast reductions and liposuction’ before turning 18: ‘Will people stop calling me fat?’
Raven-Symoné has revealed that she underwent several cosmetic surgeries as a teenager, after her father encouraged her to do so while she was receiving criticism about her weight. The That’s So Raven star said she had two breast reductions and liposuction done before she turned 18 in 2004. Speaking on the latest episode of her and her wife Miranda Pearman-Maday’s podcast, Symoné recalled: “There was paperwork involved. My dad suggested strongly that I should get my breasts reduced. “He was like, ‘So you don’t feel bad, is there anything that you want?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?’” She continued on The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda: “So I got a twofer. It was just a mess, just being that young and the pain of it all.” Symoné also disclosed that, after her first breast reduction surgery, she suffered a seizure. “I remember waking up and seeing everything… and then I just started to have this dry mouth and couldn’t breathe and went back under,” she said of the experience. The Cheetah Girls star said she does not remember much else because she was “disassociating” from reality, but admitted that not knowing what caused the seizure “freaks her out a bit”. She still went ahead with the second breast reduction. While she advised others who may be considering similar procedures to wait until they are fully developed before going under the knife, Symoné added that her decision to get breast reductions prevented her “t**ties reaching her ankles”. “I don’t know if I regret it because they grew back not to that big of a size,” she said. Last year, Symoné credited her wife with helping her “kick sugar”, which led to her losing 40 pounds (approximately 18kg). She told The View: “With [Pearman-Maday’s] help and guidance and love and fantastic cooking skills… she helped me kick sugar. “I say ‘kick sugar’ because it is an addictive drug and I was addicted to it in wheat form, in regular form. And it’s out of my system.” Receiving bad news about her health from her doctor also spurred Symoné to take her weight more seriously, so that she could be around longer to spend her life with her wife. “I want to be here for her as long as I can,” she said. “I found out some numbers at the doctor that were not pleasant for someone in my age bracket – or any age bracket, to be honest with you… She doesn’t want to take me to an early grave, and I want to make sure I am there for her in the best health possible.” In July, Symoné called on people not to use diabetes medication Ozempic purely for weight loss, as it is “made for certain people”. She opened up about her family’s history of pre-diabetes and diabetes, and said she is “more susceptible” to the disease if she is not careful about what she eats. “So, I think it’s very important we understand certain medications are made for certain people – and to not take that away just for glamazon purposes,” she told E! News. Chelsea reveal Uefa resolution after ‘incomplete financial reporting’ under the Roman Abramovich regime
Chelsea reveal Uefa resolution after ‘incomplete financial reporting’ under the Roman Abramovich regime
Chelsea have agreed a resolution with UEFA that will see them hand over 10million euros (£8.57million) after owning up to “incomplete financial reporting” under the Roman Abramovich regime. A new ownership group led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completed their takeover of the club in May last year from Abramovich, who was sanctioned over his links to Russia president Vladimir Putin. UEFA, which has also banned Juventus from competing in the Europa Conference League this season due to financial irregularities, confirmed it was approached “proactively” by the Boehly-led consortium. They detected instances of partial financial information being submitted in historical transactions occurring between 2012 and 2019, breaching UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations. A UEFA statement said: “Following its assessment, including the applicable statute of limitations, the CFCB (Club Financial Control Body) First Chamber entered into a settlement agreement with the club which has agreed to pay a financial contribution of 10million euros to fully resolve the reported matters.” The sanction represents another blow for Chelsea’s current owners after a disappointing first year at the helm, with the club’s 12th-place finish in the Premier League last term their worst since 1993-94. Chelsea have forked out around £600million in transfers since Boehly’s arrival, while former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been tasked with turning around their on-pitch fortunes. Chelsea said in a statement the owners became aware of potential impropriety when carrying out a “thorough due diligence process” prior to the purchase and, upon completion of the takeover, they reported this to UEFA. The statement added: “In accordance with the club’s ownership group’s core principles of full compliance and transparency with its regulators, we are grateful that this case has been concluded by proactive disclosure of information to UEFA and a settlement that fully resolves the reported matters. “We wish to place on record our gratitude to UEFA for its consideration of this matter. Chelsea greatly values its relationship with UEFA and looks forward to building on that relationship in the years to come.” Juventus have also been reprimanded after a separate UEFA investigation and as well as throwing the Italian giants out of European football, they have been fined 20million euros (£17.14m). However, half of that fine has been suspended and Juventus will only have to pay if their financial records for the next three years do not comply with the accounting requirements. Juventus – who were docked 10 points last season over their past transfer dealings, effectively ending their hopes of Champions League qualification – were found to have violated the framework of a settlement agreement with UEFA in August last year. Juventus president Gianluca Ferrero said in a statement on the club’s website: “We regret the decision of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body. “We do not share the interpretation that has been given of our defence and we remain firmly convinced of the legitimacy of our actions and the validity of our arguments. “However, we have decided not to appeal this judgement. Despite this painful decision, we can now face the new season by focusing on the field and not on the courts.”

Luis Rubiales' uncle blasts 'woman obsessed' nephew and says family support Hermoso
Luis Rubiales' uncle blasts 'woman obsessed' nephew and says family support Hermoso
The walls are closing in around Luis Rubiales – now, even his family are turning against the embattled Spanish football association president. Rubiales’ uncle, Juan Rubiales López, has blasted his nephew as a “man obsessed with women” after the football boss grabbed Spanish striker Jenni Hermoso and kissed her mouth during the Women’s World Cup medal ceremony The 46-year-old Rubiales has faced repeated calls to step down from his position as a result. Hermoso has since said the action was not consensual. She said the situation had left her feeling “vulnerable and a victim of aggression”. FIFA, the sport’s governing body, has suspended Rubiales for 90 days starting on 26 August. The Spanish FA has stuck firmly by its boss throughout and has even threatened to sue Hermoso. And on 28 August, a Spanish court opened a preliminary investigation to see if what took place was a sexual assault. López, the uncle, now insists the family are on Hermoso’s side, adding that his nephew “needs re-education about women”. Rubiales’ mother locked herself in a church on Monday and declared herself on hunger strike over what she called the “inhumane and bloodthirsty hunt” of her son. But López said the rest of the family are “defending Jenni [Hermoso]”. Lopz said: “I think he needs a social re-education programme and re-education in his relationship with women.” Rubiales' uncle was formerly chief of staff at the FA’s Madrid headquarters until 2020. He was sacked after alleging his nephew organised the "private party" with "eight or 10 young girls" and made him pay for it with association funds. Lopez said the pair’s relationship became strained when he started working with Rubiales at the Spanish football association, saying he didn’t like how Rubiales treated staff. Rubiales has always denied there was a party and that the event was for work purposes, but admitted there was a “barbecue with friends”. Since the kissgate scandal, multiple women have also come forward with accusations ranging from “misogyny to sexual harassment”. As of the morning of Thursday 31 August, Rubiales remains in post.
