A family, including two children and an elderly woman, endured a terrifying ordeal when they were held at gunpoint by masked burglars. The beyond-scary home invasion happened on Monday in Orange County, California, at around 10.40pm when the disguised intruders entered the family’s home on a quiet residential street. When the invaders entered the home, one of the masked men used a stun gun on an adult male in the family, forcing him onto the ground, the City of Westminster Police said in a statement. The man, an elderly woman and two children — a 14-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl — were all tied up in the living room. The suspects then demanded to know where they kept their valuables. In one alarming photo released by police, two robbers in masks can be seen gesturing for the family to get on the floor. The 7-year-old is pictured flat out by the suspect’s feet. The burglars then ransacked their property looking for anything of value, the New York Post reported A fifth victim, an adult female, was able to hide inside a closet while the home invasion was taking place. She called 911 and whispered down the phone that she needed help. As the officers arrived within three minutes, they saw four burglars sprint from the front door of the residence. One of the suspects, identified by police as Danny Sommay, was caught outside after he threw his handgun over a brick wall. The police recovered the firearm and found it to be a loaded 9mm pistol that had been reported as stolen. The Huntingdon Beach Police Department dispatched a helicopter to try and locate the missing three suspects, but were unable to locate them. Authorities did not say whether any of the victims needed medical attention or if the man hit with the stun gun was injured. Mr Sommay has been booked into Orange County Jail on charges of kidnapping, robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of a loaded and stolen firearm and armed criminal action on a $1 million bail. ChatGPT has gone offline, its creators have said. The artificially intelligent chatbot is experiencing a “major outage”, according to OpenAI, the company behind the system. It said that ChatGPT was down on both web and mobile, but that it had identified the issue and was working to fix it. Some users reported seeing a message indicating they had been “blocked” from accessing the tool. The message from web services company Cloudflare told people they were unable to access OpenAI’s site for using ChatGPT. That led many to fear that they had been specifically and personally blocked from using the service. But the issue in fact appeared to be a technical one, and the “block” message will presumably stop showing once OpenAIfixed the issue. For others, the system simply would not load properly, and refused to answer questions. “Something went wrong,” a message read, pointing users to its help site. ChatGPT has stayed largely stable since it was launched. The company says it has been up for 99.88 per cent of the last 90 days, with a few major outages that were quickly fixed. That is despite immense popularity. When it was launched at the end of November, it quickly became the fastest-growing website in the history of the internet, and it has continued to see significant daily usage. The outage came just a day after OpenAI launched an enterprise version of ChatGPT, aimed at addressing companies’ concerns about using its technology in their businesses. The new ChatGPT Enterprise includes better security and privacy, unlimited access and more powerful AI tools – though it comes at a price, which OpenAI says will depend on the company’s usage. Piers Morgan has waded into the ongoing controversy surrounding the ITV show This Morning following the abrupt departure of Phillip Schofield and compared the drama to a Quentin Tarantino movie. The daytime tv show has been rocked by a series of allegations in recent weeks which started with claims that long-term hosts Schofield and Holly Willoughby were no longer talking to each other behind the scenes. Things came to a head on 20th May when Schofield announced that he would be departing the show after 25 years at the helm. On May 26th, Schofield then issued a statement stating that he had "lied to his colleagues" and during his time on the show was involved in a "consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague." Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Willoughby then countered this by releasing her own statement which said that it was "hurtful" that she had been lied to as she had questioned Schofield about the relationship rumours. Rumours have since persisted that the culture on the show was 'toxic' with Dr Ranj Singh saying that he had grown "increasingly worried" during his time on the program. Schofield has since claimed that there was "no toxicity" on the set of This Morning something that was reiterated on air by stand-in hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on Monday's edition of the show. With the dust still settling on the situation former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan said his two cents on the matter. On Twitter, the 58-year-old wrote: "I fear we’re now entering the Reservoir Dogs phase of the This Morning scandal… and it could end up with a lot of corpsed careers." In case you are unaware, Reservoir Dogs was Tarantino's first movie from 1992 and features a gang of criminals all trying to violently outwit each other after a bank heist goes wrong. It remains to be seen what the future holds for This Morning and all those involved in the show but we sincerely hope that it isn't anything like the bloody finale of Reservoir Dogs.
