Here's what Donald Trump’s niece Mary Trump had to say about 'JRE' podcaster Joe Rogan’s IQ

AUSTIN, TEXAS: Mary Trump, the niece and ardent critic of Donald Trump, recently had a conversation with comedian Kathy Griffin. In a wide-ranging discussion, she roasted the controversial podcaster and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan and his “terrifying” influence.

In the video conversation, available only for paid subscribers to her 'The Good In Us' newsletter, the two mocked Rogan’s ardent listeners for “believing Joe Rogan is the news” before attacking the podcaster's career.

What did Mary Trump say about Joe Rogan?

Mary, who is active on her X (previously known as Twitter) handle, claimed that Rogan had always spread disinformation to his audience. She started by saying, “I have to wonder, because when I first met him (Joe Rogan) back in the day, he was a freaking road comic." Griffin chimed in, "He had a good act."

“He was the best of the best. I don’t think he would even say that. But he wasn’t horrible,” Mary continued. “And then something happened where he decided to get all like, roided up. And I haven’t seen him in many years, but the last time I saw him, I didn’t even recognize him. And he became a UFC announcer, which is just...”

Griffin discussed the absurdity of Rogan's annual $100 million deal with Spotify, the platform on which his program is currently hosted. Mary said in response, "I’ve read in my newspapers that nobody reads anymore, but it’s maybe 200 million!”

Additionally, she claimed that Rogan attained his fanbase by spreading disinformation. “So, you know, there’s no competing narrative, there’s nothing challenging. And also people want to hear what they want, what fits in with their beliefs,” she said. “Yeah. Anyway, yes. The idea that somebody like Joe Rogan, who, you know, has like the IQ of a turnip, is so influential is kind of terrifying.”

When Joe Rogan called Trump 'fat and old'

Back in 2022, Rogan escalated his feud with the former President, calling him "an existential threat to democracy" and a "man-baby" on drugs in an episode of the 'Joe Rogan Experience'.

Additionally, in the 'JRE' episode, Rogan and guest Tom Segura talked about Trump's recuperation from COVID-19 in October 2020, when he received treatment with monoclonal antibodies, and he made assumptions regarding his Adderall use.

"You gotta remember, Trump is fat and old. And four days after he was like, campaigning and waving to people here for days, that's pretty impressive," Rogan said. "That's when I lost all my fear of the disease, I was like, I just need to get what that guy got...he thinks of his body like a battery, and he thinks when you exercise, you lose energy."
