LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It’s disheartening for every fan of ‘Succession’ to see the show run its course. When Jesse Armstrong, the creator of the series, announced that the fourth season will be the last time we see all the Roys and their idiosyncrasies in action, many fans felt that it was the end of the world for them. Each episode in season four has taken the series to greater heights with the netizens discussing ‘Is this the peak of television?’ That remains to be cemented when the show comes out with its remaining two episodes in the upcoming weeks.
In the ongoing season, we have been witness to Logan Roy’s death, Kendall, Roman, and Shiv partnering up against their father and then eventually falling apart, Tom deciding his fate, and Lukas Matsson charging like a raging bull with money in his pocket to buy Waystar Royco. Loyalties have shifted, new CEOs have emerged in Kendall and Roman, relationships have been stretched with Tom and Shiv’s ultimate spat in the seventh episode, and the senior management of the company has disbanded to let the Roy kids handle the chaos.

'Succession' Season 4 Premiere Review: The War TRULY begins in ominous opening chapter
There’s still no promise of a Roy kid leading Logan’s empire, but given the course of the show, it will be interesting to see who lands at the top. The crown is still up for grabs, the sharks are circling, and the two probable contenders for the Waystar throne, Kendall and Roman, may still have to see out another wave of threats to protect the company from Lukas Matsson. The Roy brothers now have the support of the new President, Jeryd Mencken, who they helped during elections but even he can blow with the wind and break his loyalty to the Roys. It’s burning up in the world of ‘Succession’ and the next episode which is primed to show Logan’s funeral could also be anyone else’s in the show.
When will 'Succession' Season 4 Episode 9 premiere?
