Hogwarts Legacy is set for its global release on Feb. 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC players. But PlayStation players will get some exclusive content. Here's what you need to know.
Fan excitement for Hogwarts Legacy is steadily is building. Those with Deluxe Edition pre-orders will gain a 72-hour early access period, meaning they'll be able to jump into the content far sooner than most. Warner Bros. Games have been steadily releasing snippets of gameplay on social media, giving prospective players a glimpse at the locations, characters, spells and more that they'll get to experience on release day.
Players will get to customize their witch or wizard, visit locations outside of Hogwarts and tame and mount a variety of magical creatures. But, those with PlayStation copies will get access to some exclusive content.
Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation Exclusive Content Revealed
Players who have pre-ordered the Standard or Deluxe Editions of Hogwarts Legacy will receive the Felix Felicis Potion Recipe as a pre-order exclusive.
If you haven't pre-ordered a copy, there's still some PlayStation-exclusive content to get your hands on: the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest — a mystery-adventure involving Hogsmeade shopkeeper Madam Mason, available only for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of Hogwarts Legacy. Players who complete the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest and associated dungeon will also get exclusive access to their own shop in Hogsmeade where they can sell items and gear at rates better than anywhere else in-game.
Those on Xbox or PC will unfortunately miss out on the content but, outside of this optional quest, it will have no effect on the rest of the game.
Hogwarts Legacy launches on Feb. 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game launches on April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One, then July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
