LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jordan Turpin, the brave survivor who played a crucial part in rescuing her siblings from the notorious 'House of Horrors' in 2018 has found a source of inspiration and support in Demi Lovato.

"I did meet her this year, and she's so sweet. I actually met her with my sister Jeanetta. We went to go have lunch together," Turpin said of the 'California Sober' singer, according to People.

Though Turpin kept the specifics of their initial conversation private, she told that Lovato has been a constant presence in her life during a challenging year.

Turpin said, "She's actually kind of really been here for me. At the beginning of the year, it was rough, and she was somebody who was there for me out of just a few people. It was really sweet."

Turpin added that the singer who has openly talked about her experience with abuse is "so strong."

How did Jordan Turpin meet Demi Lovato?

Turpin talked to People about being taken aback by Lovato's youthful appearance when they first met in person.

"When I met her in person, she looked younger than she looks on TV!" Turpin said of the 31-year-old songwriter.

Turpin who is an aspiring model launched a merch line called 'Braveness' on her birthday.

"She looked so young and beautiful,'" the woman said of Lovato.

Despite the difficulties Turpin faced this year, connecting with Lovato has been a highlight for her as she had been struggling with her mental health issues.

"It's been really good because I've really learned so much about mental health [and] why everything has affected me the way it affected me," Turpin said of the last few months.

"I've been getting up early, going to bed early," she says. "I feel healthy. I feel good. I feel like I've really just learned to work with my pain and stuff," said Turpin who is currently taking therapy and new coping skills.

Keeping behind the worries and challenges, Turpin is looking ahead to the new year as she has exciting plans to pursue her passion.

Living in a new house with her four puppies and four guinea pigs, Turpin is looking forward to a fresh start in the new year to pursue her passions.

"I want to get [more] into modeling, and something exciting I want to do next year is maybe a little acting," Turpin says.
